Hi Bigdog_1529, how are you? By your post in the summer you seem pretty down about this tattoo. I don't understand why it can't be removed, mine is much like yours, dense black windbars with lots of color- purple/orange/yellow/green/blue - AND it's a cover up! I have started removal and think you should go for some consultations to see what your options really are. There really is a great support group on this site, and you will feel better about the situation by expressing your feelings and even your fears. You can send private messages to others in a like situation which may help you through this. Also, if you are really down and out about this still, please seek out professional help, I have, and it really does help. There are help lines you can call for free as well. This is a very challenging time for you in your life, and the deep regret is not easy to live with, trust me I am walking on the same road as you, but to keep my spirits up, and to keep going forward I talk, and connect with people who are going through the same thing. Remember, it's only ink on your skin, even though you think it may never be able to be removed, go see some laser clinics, they offer free consultations in most cases and they can tell you what your options are. I have seen videos of people getting entire back tattoo's removed, full sleeves with color, yours is not that different, and I can't imagine there is no hope for removal, and maybe not 100% removal, but you can get it lightened, the laser is not going to do absolutely nothing, at the very least you can have it lightened and maybe a cover up tattoo of something you like more. Sorry to hear you lost your job over this, I can't imagine why, as I am sure a shirt covers it completely, unless maybe the job loss was not related to the tattoo, rather your depression. Either way, keep you head up, and if you have not already secured another job, you will find one. There are millions of people working with tattoos, including me- no one will know it's there if you don't show them, so get dressed and get out there, forget about the fact you feel you have made a mistake and got a tattoo, work towards resolving the feelings you have about it, and towards your options of removal. And know that removal is not as quick as it it to put the tattoo on, I am sure you know that, I am on my 2nd treatment, and it's faded a bit, some lines are broken up, I have at least 2-3 years of treatment before I may achieve partial or full removal. I am hopeful that enough will be gone that I will be happy with the results and can avoid another tattoo, but if not, such as life, I will just ensure I select the perfect artist and ensure I love the new design so I can be proud of the tattoo. Please look at this as a chapter in your life you can learn from, and please look after yourself and don't let this situation get the best of you, ok. Take good care of yourself.

Hi, That will be a very difficult tattoo to remove because of the density and amount of ink. The colours will also present problems. I've been removing tattoos for 26 years and would not recommend you use the laser for your tattoo. Sorry!

Thanks for your honest feedback MGM.  What do you think are the best lasers on the market for tattoo removals these days?

To be frank, the 'best' lasers are the more powerful ones. In simple terms, the higher the output energy, the better. This is because these systems can deliver more energy into the dermis, and hence to the ink. This results in better clearances of tattoo ink.

I'm so sorry to hear you are already regretting your tattoo. :-/ I don't mean to be nosey, but since you mentioned you lost your job because of this tattoo, can I ask why?
