I'm curious about alternative tattoo removal methods. Variot's method, involving retattooing with tannic acid and then applying silver nitrate to the area, intuitively seems like it would be more likely to scar then using a salt/saline solution and then applying a salt past. Would re tattooing the area with salt/saline work similarly to the salabrasion technique? Would it be more or less likely to scar then Variot's method? Are there any other chemicals that would work well to re tattoo the area with? What kind of tannic acid/ silver nitrate would be best for Variot's method?
