Pelleve: Expensive, and Receptionist told me it did not work.

I was very interested in Pelleve because I've been reading that it builds collagen with no downtime. However since I'm over 40 during the consult the doctor told me that I would need four treatments at 1200 dollars each. A little deep, so I said I didn't want the package, I just wanted to try one. She said that was fine but that the results would be "very subtle". Went out to the reception area where I was going to pay my 1200 dollars. The receptionist who was about to take my money said, just to let you know, if you only buy one you'll see NO RESULTS. No results? I said. Nothing? Nope, she said. You have to buy the whole package or it won't work.   Okay, then, I said, I won't do it then. Okay! She said. So the bottom line is that this treatment in Lincoln Nebraska costs five thousand dollars for four treatments and one treatment does absolutely nothing. I am not sure why, if it works at all, they wouldn't tell you then that Pelleve costs five thousand dollars. And does not work. Annoyed.

I had one treatment in Punta Gorda, Florida. I was shrink wrapped, second degree burns and one year later, I still have nerve damage on both temples. I am o Lyrica. You are so lucky you walked out. Susan Bennett **************.com

I have used Pelleve in my practice for several years with great success. Both my medical aesthetician and myself perform the procedure. One of the many attractive features of Pelleve is that it is performed without the use of anesthesia and the energry delivered is monitored by an infrared thermometer. Both assure that it is very unlikely for injury to the skin to occur. Of course it is important to have the procedure done by a well trained and experienced provider. zpl

Lovely Skin is Dr .Schlessinger's store, who has been rated # 1 in Omaha for several years. Dr. Schlessinger and all of his staff at his office an at the Lovely Skin Store/Spa are amazing!!!!

The receptionist wasn't totally correct. If you took a photo before a single Pelleve treatment and then took another photo at 60-90 days after that treatment, you would see some "very subtle" improvements, as the doctor stated. But because results are cummulative, the recommended number of treatments is needed to see the full effect. "No results" wasn't 100% correct but she probably didn't want you to be dissatisfied.

I am glad the receptionist was honest with you. As far as the cost, I paid 1200 for 4 treatments. I did not see any difference after the first one, however I just concluded the series and I DO see a difference. At the price I paid, and the results I achieved--it was definitely worth it. I am 44 yo and was looking for something to tighten and add volume around my eyes.

I think this was at least honest. I use the Pellevé on a lot of patients and it actually works for some already after the first treatment, but not on all. With an age above 45-50 and deep wrinkles the effect goes down and the number of treatments one needs to get effect goes up. Studies which show effect with Pellevé are also based on several treatments. I think Pellevé is a great method for middle age persons who do not like needles and prefer a slow process of change which does not show for the environment already by leaving my clinic. Besides it is one of the best non surgical treatments for jaw line. And the treatment feels god and works.

Why did they put you on Lyrica. I've had the same burn issues, but I don't think nerve damage.. how did you get rid of the burns...or did you??

That is pretty great that they were so honest about what to expect. At least you didn't end up spending the money. Did they suggest any other treatments for you?
