Are there any May mommy makeovers out there?

By Oakley4906 on 17 Apr 2011

I'm scheduled for a mommy makeover on May 12th. It will include a full TT, lipo of the flanks, and BA with silicone implants. I'm not convinced that I need the lipo, but my ps doesn't think I will be happy with my results if I don't get it done. I'm 5'5 and I weigh 123 pounds.

Hi Oakley, my surgery date is May 26th. I will have TT, BL/BA and lipo of flanks and thighs. I am getting the silicone implants, high profile under muscle...and really hoping that 450cc's will get me a D cup.

I'm excited for. You will be so happy when your done.

I can't wait to be on the other side of this. I know how bad I want this, but I'm still scared. I'm so glad found this sight.

I'm 5/31! TT without muscle repair, boobs, no lipo.
I'm excited and scared all at once :).
Plan is for silicone mod plus or high profile over the muscle. Haven't picked the size yet...that's in a few weeks. I'm thinking c cups, but we'll see. I'm 5'10" and 153, so I've got "space" for larger if I want :)

Just out of curiosity, why are you choosing over the muscle? Most PS recommend under the muscle.

I'm so glad I found this sight. I'm glad I have other ladies that are taking this journey with me.

Well, I work out a lot, and the thought of having my chest muscles messed with really freaks me out (they're not working on my abdominal muscles, either, just the skin) Two of the surgeons I saw only do unders, the last one (the one I picked) does both. He recommended overs to avoid having to release my chest muscles and to acheive a good result with minimal recovery time. I looked at some before and afters, and the overs looked pretty fabulous to me...no frankenboob at all. You can't go too big with overs, but I wasn't planning on that anyway. He did tell me that if I really would rather do unders, he'll be happy to do it, but thinks I would like the overs better.

I can't believe my preop is just over a month away!! I'm working the whole Memorial Day weekend to get my work schedule clear for my recovery...part of me wishes I were going to be at home, part of me is glad to work so I have something to take my mind off it!!

Trouble is...I work in the hospital where I'm having the surgery, right down the hall from the OR, so I'm not sure how far off it my mind will be :)

Yes.... and I'm so excited!!! I'm scheduled for May 11th on a Wednesday morning. I'm getting a full tummy tuck with lipo of my back, flanks, and inner thighs and I'm also getting high profile breast saline implants. I'm 5'4" and 126 lbs and athletic. I used to be a cheerleader at my college.

My husband and I have one son but I ended up with a wrinkled stomach and I loss the fullness in my breasts because I breast-fed. It really affected my self-esteem ...so that's why I'm getting this surgery. Even if I have another child...my PS said that if I eat healthy and dont gain too much weight during pregnancy that I may not need another tummy tuck...and even if I do than I can just get a mini-tummy tuck.

I think you should definitely get lipo with your tummy tuck because it will make your stomach very flat and give you more of an hour-glass shape.

Good Luck to your new body!!!

I had my pre-op today. I have to admit, I was very nervous driving there, but once I signed all of the paperwork and paid, I was committed to having the surgery.

On another note, my ps includes a vitamedica recovery program with his surgeries. It is a vitamin supplement program that aids with healing, bruising, and swelling. I thought this was a great plus!
curveappeal 27 Apr 2011
Wow that is great! Do you know which vitamin supplements you will be taking?
Oakley4906 27 Apr 2011
The system is called Vitamedica. It's a comprehensive nutritional program to support healing after, surgery, injury or trauma. There are too many vitamins to list, but Bromelain and Quercetin are two of them.

I'm gonna ask my PS if he carries Vitamedica during my pre-op.

I have only thought of my procedure as a TT but I guess because the PS is doing a BR as well it would be a MM. I am scheduled for Monday May 2 at 10:45. PS is doing a TT no muscle repair, laser lipo and liposuction of the abdomen(remove the apron) and the BR. My PS said he could not do muscle repair and the lipo suction. I have stubborn belly fat that just won't budge. So I hope I made the right choice. But in the end as long as the flap of skin I have to tuck into my pants is gone I will BE VERY HAPPY! So excited for all of us.

I'm getting a TT/lipo of the flanks/BL with a small implant on 17 May. I'm so excited, but nervous. Where does the time go? I've already had my pre op. We are doing a lot of traveling up until a week before and my PS is an hour away. What is everyone going to use for scar care? Is anyone getting a pain pump? I still haven't decided, it's an extra $300.
Oakley4906 30 Apr 2011
I'm getting a pain pump. My PS told me that before he started using the pain pump he used to get a lot of calls about pain, but now he gets none. That's all I needed to hear. I'm going to use silicone sheets for scar treatment. I've heard they work, but you have to live with them on for a while. I'm having my surgery five days before you.

I too am very nervous. I think the thing that scares me the most is leaving my kids without a mom for vanity reasons. I'm a police officer, so I leave the house everyday not knowing if I'll return, but it's for the right reasons. Good luck on your surgery.

I'm using a pain pump too! So far I've heard nothing but good things about the pain pump.....it cost me an extra $400 but I can't imagine doing it without using one.

Good Luck :)

Anyone had their procedure yet? Fill us in!!
I paid for mine on Thursday, then felt like I was going to barf :). So close now! I have a race next Sunday, a baby shower the following Saturday, my pre op, my anniversary, and memorial day to distract me, but I'm still pretty jacked up about the whole deal!

Hi Amy I had my TT (w/o MR) BR and Lipo of Abdomen, flanks and back on May 2. So I am 6 days post op and the pain is really not that bad. I have had more issues with like gas pains under my ribs then anything else. I am also very purple ;0) I am sure that once the swelling goes down and I don't look 4 month pregnant I will be so very happy with my new look.

Good luck to all it's not as bad as you would think.

Glad to hear you're doing well! Any suggestions to make recovery easier?
sexylibrarian 11 May 2011
Amy,
When is your surgery date? Mine is the 31st. My pre-op is the 18th! I can relate to the naseus feeling after paying. I'm sure I will be experiencing the same when I pay too.
I've got plenty going on to distract me also, but am a little worried that I'll be so busy that I won't be ready. Does that make sense. I want to make sure that I'm not too busy and have time to prepare mentally as well as all of the physical items. I'm just not sure what I need to purchase to have ready. I've seen lists of items to have ready, but without having gone to my pre-op yet I'm not sure what exactly I'll need or where to get everything (ie. how much my PS will have or be able to recommend).
I've wanted this for so long and now it's suddenly here!
Amy1to3 14 May 2011
5/31, too! Pre op on 5/23. Getting sort of amped about it now!
sexylibrarian 17 May 2011
I have my pre-op tomorrow! I'm so ready to take this next step. I hope the rest of the time will just fly by! I hope I don't feel overwhelmed with info tomorrow. At least my husband is going along to help me remember it all.
Oakley4906 12 May 2011
On my way! Wish me luck!!
Happy135 12 May 2011
How exciting!! Good luck!!
Oakley4906 12 May 2011
I'm so scared! I'm thinking about calling it off as I sit here in the parking lot.
Want to be thin 12 May 2011
Oh NO Oakley!! It is not that bad! Take deep breaths!!! You will be fine I promise. Once you get inside you will feel better and you will be so happy with the results. Chin up. Let me know how you do as soon as you are able. You will be in my thoughts today.

Linda
