Are there any May mommy makeovers out there?
By Oakley4906 on 17 Apr 2011
I'm scheduled for a mommy makeover on May 12th. It will include a full TT, lipo of the flanks, and BA with silicone implants. I'm not convinced that I need the lipo, but my ps doesn't think I will be happy with my results if I don't get it done. I'm 5'5 and I weigh 123 pounds.

I can't wait to be on the other side of this. I know how bad I want this, but I'm still scared. I'm so glad found this sight.
I'm excited and scared all at once :).
Plan is for silicone mod plus or high profile over the muscle. Haven't picked the size yet...that's in a few weeks. I'm thinking c cups, but we'll see. I'm 5'10" and 153, so I've got "space" for larger if I want :)
I'm so glad I found this sight. I'm glad I have other ladies that are taking this journey with me.
I can't believe my preop is just over a month away!! I'm working the whole Memorial Day weekend to get my work schedule clear for my recovery...part of me wishes I were going to be at home, part of me is glad to work so I have something to take my mind off it!!
Trouble is...I work in the hospital where I'm having the surgery, right down the hall from the OR, so I'm not sure how far off it my mind will be :)
My husband and I have one son but I ended up with a wrinkled stomach and I loss the fullness in my breasts because I breast-fed. It really affected my self-esteem ...so that's why I'm getting this surgery. Even if I have another child...my PS said that if I eat healthy and dont gain too much weight during pregnancy that I may not need another tummy tuck...and even if I do than I can just get a mini-tummy tuck.
I think you should definitely get lipo with your tummy tuck because it will make your stomach very flat and give you more of an hour-glass shape.
Good Luck to your new body!!!
On another note, my ps includes a vitamedica recovery program with his surgeries. It is a vitamin supplement program that aids with healing, bruising, and swelling. I thought this was a great plus!
I too am very nervous. I think the thing that scares me the most is leaving my kids without a mom for vanity reasons. I'm a police officer, so I leave the house everyday not knowing if I'll return, but it's for the right reasons. Good luck on your surgery.
Good Luck :)
I paid for mine on Thursday, then felt like I was going to barf :). So close now! I have a race next Sunday, a baby shower the following Saturday, my pre op, my anniversary, and memorial day to distract me, but I'm still pretty jacked up about the whole deal!
Good luck to all it's not as bad as you would think.
Linda
When is your surgery date? Mine is the 31st. My pre-op is the 18th! I can relate to the naseus feeling after paying. I'm sure I will be experiencing the same when I pay too.
I've got plenty going on to distract me also, but am a little worried that I'll be so busy that I won't be ready. Does that make sense. I want to make sure that I'm not too busy and have time to prepare mentally as well as all of the physical items. I'm just not sure what I need to purchase to have ready. I've seen lists of items to have ready, but without having gone to my pre-op yet I'm not sure what exactly I'll need or where to get everything (ie. how much my PS will have or be able to recommend).
I've wanted this for so long and now it's suddenly here!
