for me.. tt with lipo and muscle repair is WAY, WAY harder then my 2 c sections... I think the lipo and muscle repair is the most painful thing I've had. I 4 weeks post op and still have bruising on my legs.. thats crazy.

Dansgirl, is TT easier?

MUCH harder, however on a good note with the TT you are not having to deal with a new baby like you are with a C/S I thought it would be the same, maybe a little worst. I wasnt ready for what came the first week, I spent hours crying wishing I had never done it.

I would say it was much harder....after my C-sections (I had 2) I was up and about and had minimal pain. This is nothing like that.

I had two csections and my TT reminds me of it in many ways. The difference is when you have a csection you have a baby and you instantly see the reward. However, with a TT it takes weeks and some say months to see the full reward. Also, no swelling with a csection. Overall it's a much longer healing process with a TT!

No c-sections here, but I did have a big baby naturally (zero pain meds!) and that was the worst pain of my life!!!!! This was a cake walk compared. ( Full TT & MR)

I had 2 csections, and I could tell you it's different, I recovered faster with the c sections, but the TT hurt less

I had a Csection in 2008. I had my TT today about 8 hours ago. And I can tell you the first hours after my Csection was far worse. (In my opinion) lifting my leg was soooo painful. Ill keep you updated on my thoughts as the days go by.

No c-section, but after seeing my sister and bff's and helping them, I would say about the same. I didn't think tt recovery was that bad after getting through the first couple of days. I had BL/BA too, and that is far worse for recovery.

This is much harder and a far longer of a recovery. First 5 days are really rough.

I had two c/s and my PS told me that TT recovery would be WAY worse so I was prepared for something awful (hoping I would be pleasantly surprised if it wasn't lol) To my surprise... it has not been worse than my c/s. The only annoying part are the drainage tubes, I cannot WAIT to get them out! I keep on top of my meds every 4 hours and I have been ok with the exception of the back pain. That is horrific but when I sit, I use heating pad. I feel like the c/s gave me a slight inclination of what to expect as far as not being mobile and not being able to use my core for many activities.

I had two c-secs, and I found this to be somewhat harder, but still very do-able.

I want to say this hurt more than my 2 csections but I think I forgot how bad those were just like I'm starting to forget how bad this was. But no matter what it is totally with it!

I haven't had a c section, so can't comment there, but I just had to comment on all these ladies up and about so soon! I was in bed on heavy pain meds until 8DPO. Moral of the story, i think everyone heals differently.

I was like you, jgeezie! Had surgery Monday am and I barely remember anything till Saturday except sleeping and waking up to eat and take pain pills. Sunday the pain lessened a bit and had my first BM which was an ordeal! Monday (a week post op) I had to drive my kids to school but it's only a mile each way...the rest of the day I wad on the sofa. From there, each day got a bit easier. But my two C sections were much easier...I took lots of Percocet and ibuprofen the first week. But wasn't bedridden or anything after the babies were born...I felt good as long as I had the pain meds on board.

Sorry, my phone autocorrected that - it should say a TT is much much harder than a c section. And at the time I did think a C section was painful!

I've had 4 c-sections, and now I'm post op day 4 from full TT and MR... The tummy tuck has been way easier! For one, you don't have to get up every two hours to feed a baby. And my ps office set me up with all the meds and supplies to feel good at home. I'm already headed to the grocery store today.

That is great to hear for a change! I have a really high tolerance for pain but am getting so scared from everyone's responses. I know it is not going to be easy, but I hope it is doable with a baby.

Well I'm only on po1 , but so far it is easier. No baby to take care of and no " female stuff..(. Milk/ period etc.) "..... I am getting around a lot easier . I have had 3 c-sections.....

Im on PO 5 today and I still disagree with the other ladies.....the TT was easier....

Agreed. I'm already driving and cooking and hugging my husband. Today is day 8 for me. And I normally have a low pain tolerance, so I'm kind of surprised.

So great to hear. Thanks for your input. It is so scary, I almost cancelled 5 times already due to fear of not being able to take care of my 6 month old 2 weeks after. U look awesome already! Please keep me posted.
