How did your children react to your surgery?

I am a mom of 3 young children 7,5 and 2. I am going to have my mm Nov 3rd!!!! But I don't know how or when to tell the kids. I don't even know what to tell them. I am so overwhelmed with guilt right now. I know this is normal. I have been doing my research for years now. Is there a hand book on how to handle this one? I am going to make meals and freeze them. Lay out a weeks cloths for the kids. I hope to have all the baby sitting down with in the month. I am so excited!! But also so worried how my children will be. I don't want them to worry or even be scared of me. I am staying at my Moms house for the first 4 days. If anyone has a some pointers they would like to give me, let me know. Thanks Melissa
It's great that you're thinking about this! It shows what a conscientious mom you are. I wrote a blog post a while back about the picture book My Beautiful Mommy. While I have mixed feelings about the book, it is a tool that some women use.
