Calling all you experts--Mariah Carey: Tummy tuck or not??

You may have seen Mariah Carey baring her midriff just 6 months after having TWINS. It's so flat and her belly button looks suspiciously like a tummy tuck to me. She's talking about her new gig as a Jenny Craig spokeswoman and gives all the credit to diet and exercise. What do you all think? I'm trying to find an old pic of her belly button to confirm my suspicions. She just looks way too flat and tight to have done this w/o the good old TT. :-)

I had twins in August 2011, and there was NO WAY my belly was going to look the way Mariah's does now WITHOUT a tummy tuck. I'm sure she did have one.

I had a tummy tuck and have minimal scars...by no means Hideous! My belly button is higher and mostly flat. My abs are very tight...I had a wonderful surgeon. Although, I don't agree with Mariah giving JC all the credit, I understand her wanting to keep it private. As far as the other celebrities Parisian talked about, they never endorsed a weight loss program.

She sure did! I was just watching her on tv with her midriff showing and say that classic TT bellybutton....... She should of been honest, since she was promoting weight watchers. If she wasn't claiming anything then fine, let her keep it a secret. But don't just lie!

The issue is that she is lying and misleading people who might actually benefit from her being truthful and sharing her experience . . . as we all do.

I met somebody in a nail place a year ago and told us that her friend is a nurse in the city and she was the one of the nurses that helped her in her PO. Mystery solved. Do you really think is it natural to look that good after twins? I honestly don't care about her doing it or not but I really get mad at the fact that we are all misleading by commercial products that just sell lies.

You know, having had two large babies by C section, I totally understand why celebrities would have tummy tucks, especially after twins. Even starving yourself and working out five hours a day won't get rid of saggy skin and separated muscle. And Tt will not help with weight loss. The downtime from exercise actually makes it really easy to gain weight if you usually work out hard.

When they do a tummy tuck they don't just pull your skin and remove it. They actually lift it completely up to expose the muscles and they sew those together like shoe laces to tighten them. Once they do that that pull the skin up from your crotch and down from your breast area and remove the extra skin and make a new hole for your belly button stem, then sew u up. However, if you have stretch marks after a tummy tuck that is because they didn't have enough skin with the amount of stretch marks, meaning the stretch marks were real high up the abdomen, so some women will be left with some stretch marks. Also, they usually won't do a tummy tuck right after birth, they request u lose some weight and give your uterus time to heal. So after she lost the weight she had a little pooch and most likely had a mini tummy tuck. I answered some questions from other posts plus added more info about Mariah. If people get a good dr. to do tuck, then the scar should fade and not be as red and puffy or leave puppy dog ears (puffy, extra skin at each end of the hips) . A full tuck will leave a hip to hip scar. It will flatten out and turn light. Still noticable but not as much. Best wishes.

Not all TT include MR.  I had a skin only TT last week.

I am unsure if she had a tummy tuck or not, but my question is how do people get tummy tucks right after having a baby? My stomach was big and pregnant for months after having my babies so I don't see how it is possible to do. Also your uterus needs to shrink back down and it seems that if they were to do a tummy tuck it wouldn't make you tight enough.

There are also mini tummy tucks, where they make the cut just like a c-section if not a lot of skin is needed to be removed. I have a scar from hip to hip, so I am aware of how tucks look. I know she didn't have lipo because that doesn't change the shape of your belly button.

Tummy tuck scars are horrendous!! My friend got a TT my stretch marks are bad but her stretch marks were still there and the huge scar too

I know she had a tummy tuck cuz I had one and it changed the shape of her belly button. I zoomed into the cover picture and oh yeah no doubt. She used to have an inny now she has a semi outie that is not shaped right. So despite the fact she had twins and no stretch marks, she's totally flat. When Brittany Spears had her baby #one, she had a little
pooch even though she worked out. I'm not against tucks but don't deceive the public. They are who made her famous.

I had one too and that's exactly what the belly button looks like afterwards. I just hate the way she pretends it's all natural.. when it's not.And pretends it's all Jenny Craig eating. that is pretty bad!

I was always a size 4, 110 lbs (without really needing to work out that much or watch what I ate) and then like Mariah had twins thru IVF and there is NO way my tummy will ever look flat without surgery. BTW, Juliet Roberts has a great tummy but you can tell she had kids. Very natural looking pooch.

I watched the Jenny Craig commercial and yes she did have a TT. I looked at a magazine of MC before she got pregnant and her belly button looks different, plus she had a mole on the left side her BB and now it's gone... She totally got a TT...

Girl I thought the same thing and I went online to look at pictures of her stomach before the babies. before her belly button was really in abut now it not only looks like a tummy tuck navel but it is totally different. Why lie? Come on you have alot of money already!

wawo0o0 I just think she had a TT but I certainly do not judge her as I just scheduled one myself.
Many people want to keep it private, even those of us who aren't famous.
But I do agree it can be a little annoying to hear celebs wax on about how they just hit the gym or they dropped all the weight from breast feeding...

Being a mother of twins myself...I know what it does to your skin and can totally understand her desire to have it restored as much as possible!

i also bought the magazine and being a tummy tucker myself and looking at so many after pics it was the first thing that came to my mind that she too has had a tummy tuck, which is totally fair is she needed it but why say she looks as perfect as she does from simply exercise and healthy eating, i ate very healthy worked out 6 days a week had a very healthy weight but if your skin is damaged no matter what u do only surgery can get rid of it

This was nice and interesting discussion going on here. Most people decide to do a tummy tuck cosmetic reasons, such as they are in their belly loose, sagging skin and stretch abundance, much troubled by them.Go to tummytuckguide.com to know more.

I don't think any of us would judge anyone for having a TT, but I do think it's disingenuous for anyone to tote their flat tummy success on 100% personal perseverance (diet and exercise) when, in fact, surgical intervention was necessary. No shame in surgical interference, but shame on them for lying by omission.

I totally get your point. However, I have not seen any interview where Mariah Carey stated that she got her flat tummy by being on Jenny diet. In fact what she said was that she lost 30 lbs while on the Jenny diet. It's others that have gone on a tangent about Mariah Carey having a tummy tuck. I have seen pics of the woman working out in NYC and she clearly had a 'pouch', her stomach was not 'flat'. But she has never claimed to have gotten a flat stomach from the Jenny diet, at least I never read/heard it.
