When I first came to work at RealSelf in December 2012 I didn't know many people that had gone through plastic surgery. I had a couple of friends that had done a breast augmentation but it was years ago and I didn't know them at that time. I was really excited to come to a company that had such a great management team and the role that was offered to me fit my personality and style perfectly.... more

I tried to post without doing a review, but I didn't see how to do that. I'm scheduled for surgery, chose the 1st PS I consulted I found here and am now having second thoughts about my decision. I have 2nd consult with another PS I also previously consulted with tomorrow. I have to make a decision in one week, one way or the other. As the date gets closer, I've started to realize I am so... more
I exercise at least 3 times a week and didn't have too many complaints about the way things looked until about a year ago. I started getting some extra fat in my ab area and exercise and diet isn't doing a thing. So I went to a recommended PS for a consult. He says that a mini tummy tuck with some lipo would take care of the extra fat and skin on my lower abs Plus I have a C-section with skin... more
I had my first child at 20 and every since then my body has gone done hill. With each pregnancy and breast feeding each kid for over a year I have been left with a nice tummy that makes it painful to wear jeans, 34 dd boobs that like to hide in my armpits and a nice collection of fat on my hips and thighs. After I got my hysterectomy (including removal of ovaries and cervix) I decided it was... more
So far, just initial consult. After consulting with several surgeons, I chose Athenix in Bellevue. Some doctors have said I would not be happy with the skin only mini-tuck, but I dont mind a belly!! It does not have to be flat, I Just dont want the hanging pouch gone!! If anyone has any feedback on that then let me know. Otherwise.... I nervously await March.
I can't update pics. I... more

I had been thinking about this procedure for several years. I am so pleased with the results that I now wish I had done it years ago. The procedure and recovery was much easier than I had anticipated. Dr. Cooper and his amazing staff were caring, helpful and understanding. I felt I was in very good hands every step of the way.
I would definitely do it all over again with Dr. Cooper and his... more
I'm just starting this process. I had my first consultation today and really liked the doctor. I have a very disproportionate body - I have no hips or butt however, I do have a large stretched out tummy, saggy boobs, and excess skin I desperately want removed. Today we talked TT, lipo, and breast lift. I explained to the surgeon that I'm newly widowed and my husband and I wanted this for a... more
Two big things happened when I was younger. The first was that I feel like I missed out on puberty and God just forgot to give me boobs. All the women on both sides of my family was gifted and I got skipped. The second was that I lost about 40 lbs when I was in high school, mostly just belly weight. I lost the weight way too fast and my body just didn't get to the way I had hoped it would. So,... more
Hello to all you brave ladies who have shared your photos, stories and reviews. Thank you so much!
I'm embarking on my own journey and starting to feel very scared. Poor to making the choice to move forward and have the surgery, I thought I would never have a doubt in the world. But now that the deposit is paid, I'm starting to doubt just about everything. Am I too fat to have a good result?... more
As a medical anthropologist, my life revolves around wellness and helping others improve theirs. After my second child, all of my complementary medicine techniques were not completely correcting some of the injury resulting during and after childbirth. Physical therapy helped, but it would never correct my hernia or significantly separated stomach muscles. As a result, I suffered lower back... more

Hello, I'm scheduled to have a breast augmentation with Dr. Rand on 9/29/14 followed by a breast lift and tummy tuck on 1/29/15. I recently lost a significant amount of weight and have been fortunate with regard to lose skin, except for in my tummy. I'll have a bit of an extension to my existing c-section scar once the tummy tuck is complete. I have also selected 550cc implants.
Like most moms breast feeding your kids and fluctuating weight does a number on your body. Even with working out 4 times a week and eating right my stomach still looked like a wreck. And my boobs, those suckers are a whole different story. I wore a 34-36 B but could have fit into an A if it weren't for all the stretched out skin. Lingerie was something that I wasn't comfortable wearing since... more
I'm scheduled for surgery on August 18th (almost a month away to the day - yikes!) It's amazing how quickly things are progressing now that I've made the decision to go for it. Once I decided that I was doing this for myself and no one else, I realized that (other than financial limitations) there was no reason not to do it. So I'm cashing in my deferred comp and paying cash for a breast... more
