Mysterious Abdominal Distention After Abdominoplasty, What's Going On? (photo)

I had abdominoplasty/double hernia repair 16 months ago. Shortly after, I noticed severe abdominal distention. I look at least 6 months pregnant at all times. The gastro Dr. has ruled out everything under the sun and the plastic surgeon (who I no longer see due a failed breast aug he performed 3 weeks after my TT)has no clue. ALL Dr's agree there is a problem, but no one can seem to diagnose me. Has anyone seen this occur after a tummy tuck and last this long? I cannot live in this state!

Thank you for the photo. This is highly unusual any time after a tummy tuck, especially 16 months out from surgery. You state that you had a double hernia repair at the time as well. Were these groin hernias or mid abdominal hernias? Was any mesh used to reinforce the weak fascia? Either your tissues gave way, you had an unsuccesful hernia repair or your surgeon committed some technical error. Need to see a board certified plastic surgeon for a second opinion and a thorough evaluation (possible CT scan of the abdominal wall) to determine the cause. Good luck.

Hollowness Under Brows 1 Year After Brow Pexy. Could This Have Been Prevented? How To Correct? (photo)

I had a brow pexy over a year ago. I now have very hollow areas directly under my brows. What could have been done to prevent this. How can it be permanently fixed? I am a 52 year old female.

Thank you for the photos. This is a small area of depression, but quite obvious. It is easily corrected with micro fat graft injections to get a permanent or long lasting result.This can be done under local anesthesia with no down time. Talk to your surgeon about this. Good luck.

What Your Opinion About Laser Bra Breast Reduction? (photo)

What is anyones opinion about Laser Bra Breast Reduction? I am 21 and i am 5'3 and about 160 to 175lbs an is has a somewhat tiny figure and have not yet had children. I have upper back pain an sagging with my breast. I am a 34O in bra size and have been sized with professional's more than once. In addition i am getting a little bit depressed because i have a hard time fitting into clothing & bras. I want to know what would be the best kind of surgery would be an what size would be best. Help

Thank you for the photos. You would benefit from a breast reduction. Laser breast reduction is a marketing term to make you believe that the surgeon using it is hi tech and way ahead of his peers. This refers to removing the superficial skin of the breast that will be lifted and covered by skin. One can do this by burning it with a hot laser or removing it with a cold knife. End result=no diffference. See a board certified plastic surgeon with experience in short scar breast reduction surgery. The laser breast reduction surgeon might charge you more by making you believe that he is at the cutting edge (no pun intended) of plastic surgery. Remember, the laser is just another tool in the hands of the surgeon and has nothing to do with the ultimate outcome (unless it's used inapropriately).
