What Type of Pre Op Testing is Needed for a Rhinoplasty?  Blood Work? Ekg?

A: Preoperative testing prior to surgery: Rhinoplasty

Your doctor will decide all pre-op testing. Such decisions are based on many factors, including your medical history, age, and length of surgery.

Rhinoplasty at a Young Age- Recommendation For a Natural Appearance?

I will be turning 15 in March and would like to have a rhinoplasty this coming summer, however, I am very hesitant on it because of many factors. In high school, it'll be hard to just show up one day with a completely straight nose and honestly, I want the most natural result. If my parents are able to afford it, (they agreed to learn more through a consultation with a doctor)Is it possible to have my bump reduced to a point that helps with my profile, yet, still has some of the structure left?

A: Rhinoplasty at Age 15

Rhinoplasty should be delayed until the nose has stopped growing. This usually occurs after puberty which is approximately 16 to 17 years  in women and 17 to 18 years in men.  I hope this helps.

Can I Reduce Nose Bridge Hump Without Rhinoplasty?

I have a big hump on my nose bridge and I think that at least reducing it a bit might help my profile to look better...But there's no way for me or my family to afford a Rhinoplasty. (I'm 23 years old, female). When I touch it, the bone feels spiky in that area and you can kind of notice the spiky bone through the skin. It's almost as if the bone could pierce through my skin and come out. It really makes me feel self-conscious and I get depressed by it a lot. Maybe there's another alternatives.?

A: non surgical hump reduction

Unfortunately there is no way to reduce a nasal hump without surgery. it is bone and cartilage and we have no way of melting this or heating this to reduce it. It must be physically removed in surgery. The good news is that this is a common procedure and patients are usually quite happy with the results of this surgery.
