would lipo dissolve get rid of the flap of fat an skin caused by extreme edema during pregnacy,an a c/section at 36yrs old? I had my only baby at 36yrs old. I developed eclampsia in my 7th mth an as a result had 60pds of fluid weight which has left my tummy looking like a 90yr old with saggy, heavy tummy flap then had an emergency c/section which was done w/out any attempt to remove the massive amount of fat an strecthed out skin. I ve been unable to lose, tighten or improve my problem area sence the surgery in 2006.I have a severe multiple back injury an the added stress on my tummy is only making my injuries worse alot faster. What can I do safely?
Do not use lipo dissolve to treat your condition. You most likely will need a full tummy tuck to treat your laxity and tighten your abdominal muscles.
I have talked to an expert in lipid metabolism and he expressed the concern that the liver would be the primary recipient of this dissolved fat. Fatty livers, as I understand it, are not healthy and could produce some undesirable effects. Possibly leading to Type 2 Diabetes. Has anyone speculated or discussed this issue? Any literature in refereed journals?
LipoDissolve is one of many techniques that have been used to melt fat. Some techniques, but not all, have been evaluated in terms of whether there are deleterious effects on the liver. Thus far, these problems have not been seen The dissolved fat seems to be broken down through normal fat metabolism much as happens to the fat broken down when you eat a mouthful of potato chips.
Does the establishment giving lipo dissolve have to be a doctor...I was looking into it and I heard that the laws states that there is to be a doctor at the facility at time of procedure...if this is true than there are many places in my area doing it without a doctor around or in the building at the time.please respond ...only concerned about how to decide on the right place to go...thanks...
In New York, the practice of medicine requires that the individual is licensed by the state for that purpose. A licensed medical doctor can perform this procedure a lay person (non-professional) cannot. A nurse or physician assistant may perform this procedure under the supervision of a physician. You are right to be concerned about the credentials of the facility performing this procedure. You have a right as a patient to request the credentials information of any individual performing a medical procedure on you. They should be happy to produce their license to you. You can also research the credentials of an individual by visiting the state's licensing boards website.
