Can Ultherapy Be Safe for Dark or Tan Skin?

Can Ultherapy Be Safe for Dark or Tan Skin?

A: Ultherapy is indicated for all types of skin color

As Ultherapy is not a laser, and its focus is to heat the dermal tissues, there is no injury to the epidermis that normally occurs during the treatment.  The focused ultrasound energy travels through the epidermis and is absorbed a few to several millimeters below the epidermis, in the dermis heating up this collagen.  The body then produces more collagen as a response to this injury.. There can be a risk of a thermal burn, although this would be very rare, and this could induce a temporary, and in unusual circumstances, long term or permanent, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. If this were to happen, treatment is available to lighten such pigment and it is often successful.

Itchiness and White Spots Forming 2 Weeks After Botox. Is This Normal?

after botox on forehead and between brows my skin itched slightly,2 weeks later my head is itchy with tiny white pimples forming and on the brows,i am also useing sustain balance eye drops as my eyes were dry.I had an eye exam i had irritated eyes. Now 2 weeks after botox one of my eyes when i cry has no tears, also i chopped an onion and no tears as prior to botox there would have bin,my skin is concerning me,and my eyes what should i do also my eye muscles feel strained

A: side effects from botox

If you had used some numbing cream prior to the Botox injecitons then possibly, some of the signs you've discussed could be related to a reaction to the cream.  It is hard to relate all the symptoms and signs to the Botox.

Can Ulthera Therapy Cause Fat Atrophy?

I am considering ulthera but I am concerned about fat atrophy. A woman over 50 with a thin face can not afford that. Any comments please.

A: ultherapy has not been associated with fat atrophy as Thermage had been in its early years

I am not aware of any of my patients not those of my colleagues with whom I have discussed ultherapy that have developed fat atrophy.  The company is currently investigating this.
