Hi I got a Botox (Dysport) injection on my jaw line 2 weeks ago and I'm starting to notice my jaw line slimming down. I'm satisfied with the result, but I'm concerned because my friend told me that repeated process of Botox injection make your body tolerant to Botox and will not give me the same result as it did in the first place? Is this true?
you can use Botox or Dysport repeatedly for many years. It is extremely rare to develop resistance to the drug. It should work the same for many many years.
My eyelids sags a little so I look a bit tired. It isn't drastic however I want to look more alive and awake. Can botox help me look more awake? And what is the cost for botox treatment in NYC?
Lifting the eyebrows can take some of the extra skin out of the upper eyelids. Browlift with Botox can be quite pleasing, but the results a re a bit variable. Some patients get a better browlift than others. Droopiness of the upper eyelid itself (ptosis) will not be improved by Botox unless it is caused by the weight of the extra skin that a browlift can improve.
My cosmetic doctor injected botox underneath my eye at the outer corners. As soon as I felt the botox take effect checked in a mirror I was horrified to see that I had massive bags and wrinkling under the eye. I went back to her 2 days later and she told me that it was a side effect that should get better within 7-10 days. Now I'm reading information online that it could actually take months? What has gone wrong and how long will it take to right itself?
If you have Botox again for crow's feet make sure the doctor stays at the corner and away from the eyelid. This happens sometimes and is quite annoying.
Those wrinkles in your lower eyelids are NOT the dymamic wrinkles that Botox can treat anyway. You have extra sun-damaged skin, which is best treated by blepharoplasty of chemical or lasser resurfacing, or a combination.
