Dark Undereye Circles and Corners of Eyes, Middle-Eastern. What Are My Options? (photo)

Hi, I'm a 28 year old woman, Iranian. I've had this condition since I was a child. The skin definitely feels thinner under my eyes, and if I look very hard I can see tiny veins. Additionally, the corners of my eyes on the side of my nose are VERY dark, and again, I can see a vein if I look close. I've researched tear trough, hyperpig., fillers, arcus deformity, chemical peels, laser resurfacing, etc. thanks!

A: Lower bleph with midface lift

I have had success with eyelids like yours with an extended lower blepharoplasty with cheek/midface lift. Take a look at the photos on my page. I have other photos I can show you in consultation.

Is There a Way to Reserve the Effect of Botox on Jawline?

Hi I got a Botox (Dysport) injection on my jaw line 2 weeks ago and I'm starting to notice my jaw line slimming down. I'm satisfied with the result, but I'm concerned because my friend told me that repeated process of Botox injection make your body tolerant to Botox and will not give me the same result as it did in the first place? Is this true?

A: your friend is wrong

you can use Botox or Dysport repeatedly for many years. It is extremely rare to develop resistance to the drug. It should work the same for many many years.

Double Eyelid Surgery Revision? Better Methods?

Hello everyone. It's been two years since I had non-incisional double eyelid surgery. My doctor did a good job but I did not know my folds would be so small. They were 7 mm. And I feel that my eyelids are still asymmetrical. I wanted to do a revision surgery to make the double eyelids show more. Would I have to do the same surgery again? Or are there different methods that may be better for me?

A: Open or closed technique can be used for revision

If your creases came out too low, the creases can be raised by either open or closed/suture technique. I disagree that the open technique has less complication or more reliability. The closed/suture technique is by far the commonest technique used in Asia and I have observed that procedure to be used frequently by the best surgeons in Korea, Japan, and elsewhere in Asia.

The choice of technique is best left to the surgeon who knows what results he/she can get most reliably based on their own experience and trainng.
