I've been reading this website religiously and most Doctors suggested that final result won't kick in till 6 to 8 months, but had mentioned that you should see 80% of the result after 3 weeks. I had tumescent liposuction 3 weeks ago, on my anterior thighs, inner thighs, saddlebags and inner knees. The Doctor took 750ml out. I understand that everyone heals differently but I really don't see much difference at all, can someone please tell me if I had wasted 7,000AUD for nothing? I'm 5'7 and 70kg
I don't know about 80% of the results in 3 weeks. 3 weeks is still very early after liposuction. I tell my patients not to look at their results for at least 3 months after liposuction, and final results are not evident for 9-12 months. I would tell you, based on your photos, that your surgeon did a very nice job.
Nothing is as disheartening as being told your the perfect candidate for chin and neck liposuction then coming out of that procedure looking like a train ran across your neck! I'm now going into my second try at trying to fix this. What would you suggest I do? Any opinion would help, thanks
There are basically 3 things that can affect the neck with respect to aging: excess fat, excess skin, muscle banding, or any combination of the 3. It appears that you have both excess skin and muscle banding right now, and I would assume that you had some excess fat that has since been removed. In your case, it has made the excess skin and banding more obvious. Depending upon how long ago your procedure was, I would wait at least 8-12 months until you are fully healed, and then I would see a board-certifed plastic surgeon to undergo a necklift procedure which would entail repair of the banding and removal of the excess skin. You may, at a later stage, need some fat grafting to smooth out any irregularities that have resulted from your original surgery.
I recently read about Tight-Lipo body contouring. How does this procedure compare to a traditional liposuction for a double chin? http://www.typesofliposuction.com/tag/tight-lipo%E2%84%A2-body-contouring
The first and original technology for this type of thing was called Smartlipo. This is a laser assisted liposuction. It is critical to understand the word assisted because there is still some degree of standard liposuction performed at the end. Since that time there have been five or six other companies with some variation of the same laser assisted technology. It works best in people with significant amount of skin laxity along with the double chin. For small areas in younger people with good skin tone it does not really add significantly to the procedure. Good luck and I hope you could make it through all of the confusing variations on this.
