How Soon After Botox is It Ok to Get Brows Waxed?

Hello, I had 30 units of Botox for 11's between my eyebrows and crows feet for my 57 year old face. All is going well, and I'm pleased. It has been 2 weeks; it is alright to have my eyebrows waxed now? Thanks for your help,

A: Waxing doesn't effect Botox While I have not seen any scientific studies addressing this question, there should be no reason why you can't have your eyebrows waxed 2 weeks after receiving the Botox.

I Have a Paralized Vocal Cord - Can I Still Have a Botox Treatment?

I was diagnosed with a right paralized vocal cord from the swine flu vaccine. I went through speech therapy and my voice is fine but the paralysis is permanent. I have received botox a few years before the paralysis and would like to continue treatments. Am I still a candidate for Botox? I am interested in removing frown lines and forehead lines. Do you recommend another treatment if I'm not a candidate?

A: Will Botox affect the vocal cord? According to everything I've read and seen there should be no affect if small amounts of botox or dysport were utilized in the forehead or glabella areas .Nonetheless , I would discuss the case with your ENT doctor to get clearance and in addition perform a test site with smaller dosages and never inject more than a very limited number of units- all as a precaution . There have been reported deaths using Botox- in very high repeated dosages. There have never - to my knowledge- been a fatality from any cosmetic procedure with Botox .

How Long Should I Wait After my Intial Botox Treatment to Receive my Second?

I just received my first treatment (which went well:) and know the effects of Botox last about 3 - 4 months. My question is should I wait for the effects to wear off, or at least start to wear off prior to receiving my second treatment, or should I just schedule my next appt. at 3 (or 4) months? Any advantages or disadvantages to either approach?

A: how often Botox is a persona decision Some patients don't want to feel and see the early wrinkles returning- so for them reinjection at3-4 months is ideal. However many other patients want to stretch the treatments so they may come back when it has mostly worn off but may still have some residual effect at 4-6 months. In some cases after repeated injections we still see residual improvement up to one year later.
