ok,i think i've given up on my hope and quest to enlarge my breasts by fat grafting (unless any of you know a board certified plastic surgeon who can perform this procedure for me and make me 1 n 1/2-2 cup sizes larger) I am going to research breast implants...... heres the big question. how do i get my implants to FEEL soft and bouncy like real breasts i have? I want them larger but not if they are going to be too firm or totally different from real breast feel. (I dont care if they LOOK fake, as long as they FEEL nice and like the real thing). Ive heard about silicone being the better choice, but is it really?? and...im starting to get scared. What is the deal with all these websites with women who say they got sick from the implants???
Using natural fat, we published a 250 cc increase in breast size or a doubling of breast size by MRI last June in the Journal, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. It is possible!

i had my implants 4 years ago this summer. i have no problems at all with the other one.
It would be very difficult to determine what the issue is with that 1 implant without an examination. That said, the most likely cause of your problem, 4 years after surgery, is whats called capsular contracture. This is when the scar, which forms around every implant, begins to contract. As it does, it squeezes the implant inside and makes the implant feel firmer. This can be uncomfortable and there may be some distortion of the appearance of the breast. I'm not aware that massaging can help with this, but I don't believe it will hurt. Check back with your plastic surgeon for an examination and options of what is best for you.
I am 40 days post op with a breast lift and augment. I think it was like 400 or 410 cc saline implants, under. No massage was prescribed for assisting the implant movement. I went in last week and asked about the swollen look above my breasts. She said the implants were down in the breast and this was just muscle swelling. I can't tell where the implants are honestly, breasts feel soft & mushy, what does it look like to you? If muscle swelling, will massage help this as PS stated it may?
Just over one month is early to judge where your implants final position will be. It can take several months for the final position to be reached. This occurs in a straight forward augmentation and in addition you had a lift, so there is a fresh scar under your areolar which will be firm as it heals and matures and will hold the implant up as well. Over time everyone's tissues relax and I expect the lower pole of your breast to slowly strech and the implant to settle to a lower position. Patience is called for here.
