What Body Areas Does Velashape Treat?

What parts of my body can I have treated with Velashape? Is there anywhere that it doesn't work or isn't recommended?

A: Legs are the most popular area for Velashape

Velashape can be used on thighs, buttocks, arms, and stomach. The face cannot be treated with Velashape, but you can do Thermage for facial skin tightening. Velashape has two head pieces to treat smaller or larger areas. The treatment can be done prior a surgical procedure to help loosen the fat and prevent bruising. Velashape can also be done a few weeks after a tummy tuck or liposuction to help smooth out the skin and speed up the recovery process.

A: VelaShape side effects are limited and short term

The most common side effect is bruising and it only lasts for a few days. There is a chance for scabbing or blistering and it usually occurs for people with very loose skin. That isn't very common and it can be prevented by lowering the level of the energy delivered to the skin. The redness and swelling after the treatment is normal and it usually lasts for a couple of hours.

VelaShape Results

How long do VelaShape results last? my fear is that i will spend lots of money on vela shape and find out that my cellulite is gone only for a short time.

A: VelaShape results last 3-4 months

After completing a series of VelaShape treatments it depends how determined you are to maintain the results. Changing your diet, exercising regularly, and drinking plenty of water can help your results last longer. It is recommended to have an individual treatment once every 3 months for maintenance. If you are looking for more permanent results, you should consider a cellulite Thermage treatment (whose results last for up to 18 months) or surgery.
