About how long does Juvederm ultra plus last in lips?
Juvederm Ultra Plus is not yet FDA approved for the lips, but in fact, it works very well if done properly. It is very hydrophilic (spongelike) and so there is need for conservatism when injecting, and not placing the product too superficially, since blebs can occur. Molding the lips after injection is also important. Results last 9 to 18 months, averaging about 1 year.
I am 51 years old and i am thinking ofg etting jurvderm in the cheek area to pump up volume how long will it last. i was told it would last a year.
I would suggest you go with Juvederm Ultra Plus, which should last a little longer than Juvederm Ultra. Depending on the overall volume and degree of correction, results should last 9 to 12 months.

Juvederm Ultra and Ultra Plus are HA fillers and provide immediate and gratifying results if injections are performed by a skilled physician or trained nurse injector. Some molding should be performed to ensure even contour in most cases at the same time. Swelling is minimal but can last about 1 day. Bruising may occur but is limited if you have not taken platelet inhibiting products orally for 7-10 days, and if ice and gentle technique is used. Results often last 6-9 months befor retreatmen is needed.
