My Botox Has Gone Wrong- Eyes Are Puffy With Hooded Lids. What to Do?

I had botox 4 days ago and i look terrible.I have been getting botox on and off for about 6 years now and i never had any trouble until now. I went to a different clinic, looked lovely had all the qualifications etc but im devestated with the result. when i get up in the morning my eyes are all puffy and heavy- it feels like i cant open them, my eyelids are hooded and when i try and frown i look deformed as my eyelids droop down.I still have a tiny movement in my eyebrows can anything be done?

A: Botox gone wrong The hooding and heaviness of your eyelids most likely is from injection of the forehead. The frontalis muscle is the only muscle that raises your brows. Botox here relaxes the horizontal wrinkles, but can drop your eyebrows. This sounds like what happened in your case. There is no other treatment other than time as the botox will ware off in 2-3 months. In the meantime I suggest you go back to where you got it and let the physician take a look at you. Hope this was helpful. Best regards Dr D

Nervous About my Botox. 5u Each Side for Marionette Lines. What's the Worst That Can Happen?

hi there, i recently had botox for my marionette lines, well i didnt really have any lines but my muscles were well worked and had very prominent shadows around my mouth, when you touched the muscle is was as solid as a brick!! think im a bit stressed and pull my mouth down at times as it was getting achy!! i had 5u on each side of the depressor muscle??? whats the worst that can happen because now im worried and a bit nervous that i might look like the joker or wont be able to speak...thanks

A: Botox to corners of mouth

The worst case scenario is an asymmetrical smile for 3 months.  The target muscle is the DAO or the depressor anguli oris.  Relaxing this muscle will soften the marionette lines, but can also cause some asymmetry.

Botox for Frown Lines - How Many Units Are Normal?

I just went to get rid of my frown lines (forehead) they gave me 46 units of Botox, which is equivalent to 2 syringes... does that sound right?  I don't understand the term units, and I don't want to get ripped off.

A: Botox Unit for Frown lines

For frown lines between the brow, I use between 20 - 25 units depending on the facial anatomy. If you have lines on the forehead, it may take up to 40 units for both area. Our price is based on dollar per unit, so you know exactly what you are getting and paying for per unit.
