A deep place face lift really just lasts 5 - 10 years? I read this somewhere. After 5 - 10 years I look as old as before the lift? That hurts. And what do I then? Is there no way to die beautiful? (Not that I plan that at the moment, if you know what I mean.) Gabrielle
A well deep plane facelift lasts just as long as a well done SMAS facelift. The difference between and deep plane facelift and other facelifts is in the elevation of the cheek fat pad ( and thus the rejuvenation of the midface) as well and the natural results it achieves.
I had a MACS Facelift done exactly a month ago. One side of my face seems to be healing well and the other seems like it may have not been stitched up properly. There are raised bumps and 2 tiny holes in my skin. Should I give it more time to heal or is this something I should worry about? How long does it usually take the scar to heal?
The incsions should be partially healed by 2 weeks. The complete healing process for the incisions takes several months. They appear very red. This may due to your skin type or other issues. I would pay your surgeon a visit to make sure everything is ok.
At what age is a face lift appropriate?
A facelift is the best choice if these criteria are met:
1) you feel that your face is aging
2) you are ready to have it done
3) your surgeon agrees that it would help you
4) you are healthy
