QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Hello and thank you for your question. Although blepharoplasty procedures are usually done on older folks, that is not always the case. Some people naturally have heavier lids with less shadow space, which seems like the case for you. Your expectations are very realistic based on the photos you included. As long as your surgeon is conservative and experienced, I think you will be happy with your results. Your eyelid skin may very well relax as you get older, and you could need another blepharoplasty due to age, but this would definitely be possible as long as extra skin is present.

I would recommend that you start with a breast lift as you do show signs of having ptosis. The lift will not give you back the volume you want, but it will center your breast mass on your chest. If and when you do decide to get implants, they will look much more natural since they'll sit beneath your breast tissue. A breast lift will help you get the position of your breasts right, allow them to heal so they are capable of holding up the weight of an implant, and then opt for breast augmentation to get the size and volume that you want.

Make sure to set up a consultation with an experienced and Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who can help give you a detailed plan to achieve your aesthetic goals. Best of luck!

Hello and thank you for your question. There are multiple options to restore volume to your cheeks, I would consider filler or facial fat grafting to be your best options. Filler is injected into your cheeks by a certified injector or plastic surgeon and may last up to 2 years, but has no downtime. Facial fat grafting has more downtime as you will have fat harvested from one area of your body, to be injected into your cheeks. This fat will last forever as long as you don't undergo major weight loss or weight gain. A consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to discuss your options should help you decide which to choose. Best of luck!

Hello and welcome to our forum! CoolSculpting can be a great option for fat reduction but as you said, it is rather time-intensive. Liposuction is an invasive procedure that will immediately reduce stubborn fat that does not respond to working out, although it has significantly more downtime than CoolSculpting. However, you don't appear to have much fat. At my clinic, we use BodyTite for certain body contouring cases and have seen great results. Set up a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who can do a physical exam to see what your best option is. Good luck!

Hello and thank you for your question. Insomnia is not a documented side effect of filler, but can easily be caused by anxiety. Make sure you discuss your experience with your injector before getting your Voluma dissolved. Best of luck!

Hello and welcome to our forum. Liposuction can be a great option for stubborn fat deposits that do not respond to exercise. To achieve optimal results, a tummy tuck will flatten your stomach down over your visceral fat. If most of your fat is subcutaneous, your plastic surgeon should be able to remove most of it with liposuction. However, this may leave you with loose skin. The best option to flatten your tummy completely would be a tummy tuck with muscle repair if it is needed. Be sure to set up a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to make sure your individual needs are met. Best of luck!

Hello and welcome to our forum. When it comes to liposuction vs. CoolSculpting, it depends on how aggressively you want to tackle your fat deposits. Liposuction will produce noticeable results quickly, but you will also have to undergo anesthesia and a longer healing time. If you are a candidate for CoolSculpting, it can be a good option if you don't want the downtime associated with surgery, but you will most likely need multiple treatments. A consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who has experience with both options can help you make an informed decision. Best of luck!

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photos alone, you do not appear to have stretch marks on your abdomen. Stretch marks are usually an indicator of a loss of laxity in that area, so the skin is much less likely to "snap back" and more likely to sag. Since you don't appear to have stretch marks, I don't think you would have an issue with excess skin. However, you should consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who can do a physical exam to confirm this. Best of luck!

Hello and thank you for your question. I would highly recommend you set up a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, and possible get multiple doctors' opinions on your best option. In my opinion, I would recommend you start with a full lift to address ptosis. You may be able to get away with just an implant, but there is a possibility it could appear like your nipple is at the "bottom" of the implant rather than in the center. Best of luck with your surgical journey!

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photos, you could benefit from a full lift with a possible augmentation at a later date. At my practice we consider the "Anchor Lift" our gold standard as it restores "perkiness" to the breasts the most reliably. The scars will heal nicely as long as proper care is taken throughout the first year of healing. If you are not satisfied with your volume after the lift, then you could consider going through breast augmentation surgery. I recommend my patients wait at least 3 months between procedures so the lifted breast tissue has time to heal and doesn't have to contend with the weight of an implant before it is ready. Best of luck!

Breast Lift Worth It So Far!

I have always been unhappy with the placement of my naturally saggy breasts. I’m 31, female, no children. I’m one day post-op but already feel this was very worth it. I also had lipo of my upper arms done. Updated on 9 Nov 2020: Honestly, the recovery has been much easier than expected. The worst part is the itchiness! The incision lines have been so itchy while healing, especially with the tape on them. Benadryl has helped with that a bit, especially at night. I was concerned about the "t" spot with the incision lines meet on Friday and the office was very responsive. I sent in photos for the nurse to take a look at, she assured me there was no cause for concern, and advised I should clean with Betadine and continue to keep dry. I'm a little nervous about the scarring as it's looking pretty gnarly at this point, but I'll hope for the best and keep doing what I can. I'm getting sutures out from my arms and the surgery tape removed tomorrow, I will update with pics. Overall, still really happy with my girls :)

Amazing Work Amazing Experience

This Team is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I felt so comfortable and welcomed! They took care of my every need! I would recommend to friends and family! I am absolutely IN LOVE with the work Dr. Gaines and his team did! Thank you so much! Updated on 20 Jun 2020: I recently got my breast augmentation done at Gainse in Gainesville fl! The staff and everyone was absolutely amazing. They made me feel very welcome! Even during the COVID crisis. They were very attentive and on top of everything. I still continued to get the best care in a safe facility. Not to mention my results are absolutely amazing! I had a really bad asymmetric breast. My left was significantly smaller than my right. Dr. Gainse was very on point and accurate when picking my sizing! I could not be happier. They are both symmetrical and the size is amazing. I will continue to get my procedures done with Dr. Gaines and his amazing staff. I would highly recommend to everyone even friends and family. I will happily be continuing my cosmetic needs with Dr. Gainse. Much love! Updated on 22 Jun 2020: I had a easy healing experience! But my most frequently asked question is SIZE. This is a hard question. Because it depends on your body structure and what you have currently and what your goal is. However I had pretty bad asymmetric breast. My left was higher and smaller than the other. Before breast augmentation I was an A-B on my left breast and a B-C on my right. So I showed Dr. Gainse what I wanted and he selected the size perfectly. So for my left I got 520 cc And my right I got 450cc. Medium profile round gummy bear implants. But like I said it all depends on what your goal is. And I am currently sitting at a 34 DD . I am 5”5 and 130lbs. Also a little about the healing process when you have asymmetric breast. My left breast did not fall at the same rate as my right did. I was instructed to massage it to get it equal with the other because of my asymmetry. But not long after they are perfect! Just trust the healing process, your breast will look significantly different from when you first get them done until they are healed. Updated on 22 Jun 2020: I had a easy healing experience! Best decision I've ever made - Dr. Gaines and his staff are awesome!

I've researched many drs. near me looked at photos and reviews and decided that I wanted to do a consult with Dr. Gaines in Gainesville, Fl. I figured I would have to do a couple of consults with different drs. But decided to start with him since he had such good reviews and photos. My husband came with me and was there every step of the way. We both felt Dr. Gaines was awesome! The atmosphere of his office was perfect and his staff was more than expected! He spent so much time with us explaining things and listening to our concerns that we had made an appointment to do the mommy makeover before we left. I had my surgery on 1/29/2020 and really haven't had much to complain about except for boredom! I used the pain pills prescribed by the Dr. for the first few days then cut them in half for a day and I am currently taking Tylenol just in case. The only thing that really hurt so far through the whole process is my back from having to be bent over for so long. We were given phone numbers for Dr. Gaines if we needed him 24/7. His bedside manner is the best and he truly cares about his patients. It's only been 5 days since surgery and I am still very puffy but I know I will start to see results really soon. Updated on 5 Feb 2020: It's been a long week of being house bound when your a person that likes to be outside. I still have my drains in but am expecting to get them out by the end of the week, fingers crossed! I read so many posts on here that have been so helpful and just wanted to let you know some of the things that helped me.... #1....I found out colace is my best friend, I was so nervous about going number 2 and the pain that would come with it. Take the colace, that's all I can say. Lol #2..... sucks not sleeping in my own bed but I made the recliner so comfy that it's actually not that bad. I put a foam egg crate pad down, covered it with a twin sheet and have a body pillow on each side of me, a regular pillow under my legs and one on my belly. See photo... #3..... your mind does start playing with you. I've read where people have their moments of why did I do this, well mine came yesterday, only because I've been cooped up so long. My pain has been minimal and I am starting to see swelling go down. So that has made me see the light and realize it's only one moment for something that will make me happy in the long run. I will post more pics after getting my shower tonight. Hang in there, you've got this!! Updated on 16 Feb 2020: Starting to see results, still a little puffy but heading in the right direction! Finally got the last drain out a day ago and that made me feel a whole lot better not having to worry about that hanging on me. They also removed all remaining stitches. I'm still itching like crazy but that's just the healing process. Updated on 26 Feb 2020: It's been 4 weeks since my tt, bl and monsplasty. I still have a little swelling in certain areas but it is looking really good! All stitches are out and my next follow up is at my 6 week. Still have to wear both binders all day and night but I do allow myself time to breath in the morning after my shower then again for awhile at night before bed. I still have the tape over my scars and retype as needed when they pull up. They look like they are healing very good! Tje only pain I have is it being tender to the touch on each side of my breasts but that's only when it is bumped or touched hard. Other than that all is good. I havent taken any tylenol in about a week. I will update at my 6 week check up. Updated on 15 Jun 2020: It's been over 5 months and I am feeling great! If you are considering doing this, I say go for it! Im so glad I did. Going in for my 6 month appointment in july and they will do the after pics. Ill share when I see them.

I love my front profile now

It's been a little over a year since I had the tummy tuck procedure with Dr. Gaines. I love my front profile now, and how my stomach appears nice and flat! It makes such a huge difference now - and I'm not self conscious in tight clothes. I had my procedure done on a Wednesday and went back to work the next Monday - I moved a little slower that first week or so, but quickly got back to my normal routine. So, not too much downtime at all! Dr. Gaines and his team did a fantastic job and were very supportive. I wish I hadn't waited so long to have this procedure.
