Almost 14 Weeks After I Had my Lipolite on my Tummy and Still Absolutely No Change at All. Is This Normal?

i am 5ft 2 and weigh around 53-54 kilos.. and no chaned in weight at all either. please help! is there a chance that something will happen in the future?

A: Liposuction is a shaping procedure and not a weight loss procedure, most often a tummy tuck is needed for the abdomen

While not having the benefit of your photos, it is very possible that you needed an abdominoplasty with your liposuction. Most woman who have gained and lost weight and/or had babies, really need skin removal with a tummy tuck in conduction with their liposuction. If the problem is loose skin, a tummy tuck is the answer. If you have tight skin but no reduction in the thickness of your abdominal tissue, you may not have had adequate liposuction.

The best answer to your questions will be answered by an experienced Board Plastic Surgeon.

Does I-lipo Ultra Work?

I've been hearing a lot about i-lipo where 8 sessions over a period of 4 weeks is supposed to be equivalent to liposuction. I've seen it advertised heavily in the UK and now it's being offfered in NYC and Canada. I can't find any expert commentary or reviews from people who have had it. According to marketer Zonelife's description: "The i-Lipo uses a low level light laser to stimulate the body’s natural processes emptying stored fat contents from the fat cells"...

A: I Lipo yes it works, yes it is immediate! No its not for everyone! iLipo i-Lipo

I own an i-lipo machine because it is the best in class.  There is no technology that can replace well planned and executed body contouring surgery, however many patients simply do not want to entertain surgery.   This technique should only be administered under the direction and supervision of a qualified plastic and reconstructive surgeon.   There is absolutely no question that there is a measurable change in waistline in patients with excess subcutaneous fat.  I do not believe that there is a huge difference in results between immediate exercise and no exercise when it comes to local results( the changes at the treatment site).   What immediate exercise does is help with global fat and actual weight loss.  The great thing about this machine is that it gives people a jump start on results and motivates people to keep their exercise regimen.  I hope this helps.

Liposuction Vs. Tummy Tuck - What's the Difference?

I've had 3 kids and definitely need some help in my stomach area, but I'm not sure if I would need liposuction, a tummy tuck, or both to get the pre-baby look I want.

A: Liposuction and abdominoplasty compliment eachother but achieve different goals

After three children you almost certainly have what is called a diastasis.  A diastasis is when the paired abdominal muscles separate from the midline and the abdominal wall stretches.  One of the most important parts of an abdominoplasty is a diastasis repair where these muscles are repositioned next to eachother this returns a beautiful hourglass shape to the abdominal wall..  Liposuction alone would not do this but should be combined with abdominoplasty.  I prefer to use liposuction to do most of the dissection before starting the abdominoplasty.  In this manner more blood supply is preserved, speeding recovery.  This technique is called lipoabdominoplasty and originated with plastic surgeons in Brazil.  It is probably the procedure that will benefit you most.

I hope this helps!
