Many transgender men who are in the process of gender affirmation come to my practice in the Denver metro area. As a pioneer in the field of FTM chest masculinization, I have performed hundreds of successful top surgery procedures. In most cases, I can create a masculine-looking chest in a single surgery, while also ensuring that the patient maintains a degree of nipple sensation. To avoid the potentially disappointing results associated with nipple excision and grafting (somewhat misnamed the “double incision” technique), I typically use a variation of the inverted T technique (inferior pedicle/Wise pattern). This technique is essentially an extended version of a standard breast reduction incision that results in an anchor-shaped scar (mostly along the fold beneath the breast) and has a reasonably high probability of retaining some nipple sensation.

Loving my Body Again!

Dr. Steinwald and his team have been incredible to work with. In January of 2025, I went through a lower body lift, Fleur-De-Lis tummy tuck with muscle repair and breast lift/augmentation with Motiva implants. Dr. Steinwald took his time making sure that each procedure is what my body needed and it was going to give me the results I desired. I underestimated greatly how hard the recovery was going to be. Through each step of my recovery, I was met with attention, time and expertise from everyone on the team. I was left facing some complications with wounds not closing appropriately (not to anyone's fault), and Dr. Steinwald remained reassuring, confident and saw me at the office weekly until completely healed. I am now 5 month post op and absolutely love my results! The confidence his work has brought me is unmatched. I would highly recommend him and his team!

My experience with this practice was excellent! I had an implant replacement with a breast lift and Dr. Steinwald did an amazing job with a much better outcome than I thought was possible! I was referred to Dr. Steinwald by my ob/gyn PA and drove a significant distance from another city to have the procedure done at the Center for Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Steinwald, the office staff, and the surgery center staff were all professional, friendly and did a great job. Highly recommend!

Quick and Straight Forward Treatment

I'm a trans man and needed top surgery for a B-cup. Dr. Steinwald felt confident and straight forward to me, taking good care of my surgery. I'm a couple years out now and never have to worry about binding again. My scars (inverted T) have healed up great and are barely noticeable.
