How Soon Can I Get Lower Eyelid Surgery After Botox Injections Around Eyes?

My eyes will not drain after botox injections. My eyebags are worse and I have dark shadows. How long do I need to wait before having lower eyelid surgery to drain the fat?

A: Timing of Botox injection around eyes and lower eye lid surgery

In general, Botox around the crow's feet should have little affect on lower eyelid surgery.  However, just to be safe, I recommend waiting 10-14 days after Botox injection.  By then, the Botox has a full effect and any effect from the Botox will be visible.

Post-op Upper Blepharoplasty - Will I Ever Be Able to Look Up Normally Again?

I am 40 yo. I had upper and lower blepharoplasty surgery 2 weeks ago and my eyelids don't quite follow my eyes when I look all the way up. As a result when looking up I look really weird. Will I ever be able to look up normally again, after my upper eyeid blepharoplasty?

A: Unable to Move Upper Eye lid After Upper Blepharoplasty

If you do not have double vision, most likely what you are describing is due to swelling. Be patient, and monitor the progress of your upper eyelid movement.

Visible Upper Eyelids and Unhappy w/ Eye Profile - Can I Change This?

I'm 20 years old, and I really don't like the way my eyes are. I don't like that the skin of my upper eyelids is visible and I don't like the way my eyes seem to stick out from a profile view. My eyelids are also droopy and I always look sleepy. I'd like upper eyelids that just seem to sink into the fat above them, like Natalie Portman's. Is there anything I can do to fix this or at least improve this? Or do I have to just accept it? Please help!

A: Upper Blepharoplasty

I agree with ruling out hyperthyroidism as a cause of prominent eyes. This also could be genetic.  Performing eye lid surgery without addressing or correcting hyperthyroidism may lead to significant, serious, complications.  Unfortunately, it is impossible to achieve the result you desire, at least with today's technology.
