I have had laser hair removal twice - first with an IPL (did not work at all) and then with the Cyneron laser. I had to learn the hard way that not all lasers are effective for hair removal and they can leave hyperpigmentation if the setting is incorrect for your skin tone. So it is imperative that the provider doing the laser procedure is qualified and experienced and that the laser is... more
I find laser hair removal to be quite painful. I was thinking about having others areas treated, but will go elsewhere. Dr. Williams office does not offer numbing cream before treatment. I don't know how much of a difference numbing cream will actually make, but anything to lessen the pain a little bit should be offered. more
I have had most of my body lasered multiple times and mostly at the same clinic. As an Asian with fair skin but uncharacteristically thick, dark hair everywhere it just was NOT cute. My family would get on my case about shaving and how they wondered how I could ever find a boyfriend with hairy legs like that. Haha. My brother and male cousin would get grossed out and ask me to 'put... more

Pros: Most, I would say 90%, hair gone; cost is very reasonable (for me anyhow, I know some places charge a lot more than what I paid); amount pain is tolerable.
Cons: Amount of hassle is more than what I expected; pain is also a little more than what I expected.

I told the nurse I would probably jump at the first “zap” because I didn’t know what it would feel like. She zapped me and I didn’t realize she had done it because I didn’t feel anything. It doesn’t hurt.
I started giggling... more
I had wanted for so long to do this and put it off mostly because of cost. I am so happy I did it. This is one of those procedures I rave to people about. It has changed my life, no kidding: no more waxing appointments, no more shaving, no more wondering whether I am "swimsuit or bare leg ready".
I am relatively fair skinned with coarse dark brown hair, so I was a good candidate for... more
