I don't feel pain as a rule. Natural child birth is more painful than Thermage. For one month I looked great, then I woke up and there was a triangular shaped divot in the middle of my cheek. My doctor allowed the nurse to do it, even though he said he would. When I went back to complain he said,"Oh, you had acne, that's what you are seeing." I had poreless skin that months... more

Had Thermage done 6 months ago... Still haven't seen a difference and i had little to no cellulite just a few dimples in my back of my upper thighs underneath my butt. I'm a size 4 and the nurse said I was the perfect canidate... I had the new 16.0 tip also... dont let them tell you that the new and improved tip is better because it's not, its STILL very painful and I was on a mild... more
You don't need an MD to perform this procedure. I'm an RN with extensive cosmetic procedure experience so I know what to expect. The clinician did my entire face, around my eyes, jawline, mouth and neck today. The cooling gel is goopy and dripped into my hair and my face feels tight and a little red but it is going away. I have very thin skin with lots of sun damage at age 52.... more
“Good and Bad Results - Depending on...”
After reading all these posts, I was fearful to get Thermage. However, like many people I was talked into it by my Doctor since "the tips have significantly improved".Would I do it again? Yes, BUT, I would have listened to my gut and not done my entire face. I wanted it for an eyebrow lift and I got a nice eyebrow lift. I also got a bit of tightening on the jaw line. I would... more
I am a 39 year old who has thin facial skin and I wanted to try Thermage for minor facial sagging. I'm not sure if it was me (maybe I wasn't an ideal candidate?) or the procedure, but it has been 8 months since I had thermage on my face-and to be honest, I haven't noticed any difference...and to me, the procedure was extremely painful. Almost intolerably so (if they offer you painkillers,... more
I received thermage on my face and neck by a highly accredited doctor in Los Angeles. He put me completely under for the procedure. The inital effect was a little tigher skin, but after a few days that wore off and I kept waiting for improvement over time as I was told the full effect would show in 3-6 months, however there was no improvement at all and if there was was it was to small to... more
“Despite Controversy, Thermage Made a...”
Thermage gets a bad rap online at message boards. I know this because I was firmly against the idea of getting Thermage based on my online research. But my dermatologist was convincing and encouraged me that I would get good results since I only needed some measure of tightening, not a "** virtual facelift ** like you see advertised by bad docs. The treatments did hurt more... more
