filler or blepharoplasty for my tear trough?

My deep tear troughs are starting to really make me self-conscience.  I have been reading the pros and cons of each and am not sure what would be better.  I have barely gotten enough courage to consider a filler but I hear that they are difficult in this area to work properly.  I don't know if I could see myself having a blepharoplasty since its surgery (and I'm worried about not looking like myself once its done).  The fillers seem to be easy but everybody says to find an "experienced" person.  I talked to one board certified plastic surgeon who performs fillers but won't do them in the tear trough area because the results are so inconsistant.  Also, it appears that there are several different kinds of fillers as well.  Based on my photo, what would be recommended? 

Thank you for the photos.  You would be a good candidate for filler injection into the area.  I would not recommend surgery for you as it would not address the problem.  You have hollowing in the tear trough area, which a HA filler like restlylane would work very well.

Most board certified plastic surgeons would and do perform this procedure on a regular basis, so I would look around for such.  It is not a very difficult area to inject but you do need to find someone that does have experience with this area, as it can be somewhat tricky.

Is Breast Augmentation Through Tummy Tuck Incision Possible?

I had read of a procedure that allows a breast augmentation while doing a tummy tuck, using the tummy tuck incision rather than incising the breast. Is this a commonly used procedure? Would it be as accurate placement if it was done using this method?

Trying to put breast implants through an abdominoplasty incision has drawbacks. There is higher chance of getting what is called a "bottomed out" look. This is when the implant has migrated down because you have opened the tissue between the abdomen and the breast pocket. There is a slightly higher chance of infection in the breast pockets. A lot of times when a person has an abdominoplasty it is because she has had children or has lost a lot of weight. For this reason they may also need to have some kind of a breast lift. The doctor can then use that incision to place the implant in the pocket. That way you can avoid all the possible complication of placing them in the breast through the abdominoplasty incision.

What Do I Look for when Choosing a Doctor Without Many Reviews Available?

I have met with a Dr who I really liked during the consultation and also impressed with his mommy makeover pictures. However I don't know anyone who has used him and I can't find more than 4 narrative reviews online. He is a board certified PS. His office did not have much decor and appeared a little unorganized. Also, when I asked how far out he was booked, he basically said I could get in when I wanted.

If you have made sure that the doctor is a board certified plastic surgeon. That the procedure will be done in a certified facility, that you will have a licensed anesthesiologist or a certified nurse anesthetist. The doctor should be able to show you ample before and after pictures. Make sure the surgeon is on staff at reputable local hospital.  These days you can go on line and check to see if there are any suits or complaints against the doctor. I also feel that a patient should feel comfortable with doctor and his staff because you will develop a relation with them during your recovery. Make sure that you get all of your questions answered.
