Im 4 weeks post-op & my surgeon suggested using any OTC scar cream/gel. However, the package instructions say to avoid the eye area. Im wondering what other surgeons suggest. Also, my eyes feel dry + tight (like pinching) in the corners + one corner has some slight swelling. Thanks so much!
Had blepharoplasty (Rt eye) & ptosis correction (Lt eye) performed ~4.5 wks ago. Now, inner corners have hypertrophic scars (steroid injections 3 days ago), redness, tightness, & mild pain. Left eyelid feels numb & swollen. Right eyelid has secondary creasing from hypertrophic scarring at inner corner. Is this normal recovery? Should I be using silicone gel sheets? Should I continue to massage my scars? Pls help. Thanks v much.
Could you please have a look at pics of my scars from Blepharoplasty done 4 weeks ago and tell me if that looks correct to you? First of all is the length of the cut normal ? It seems like people have way shorter cut. And is it normal that my scars are still so red ? I dont see any change since 2 weeks. I put kelo-cote twice a day but no change. Will appreciate your answers. Thank you in advance. B.
I did an upper blepharoplasty slightly more than one month ago (Surgery dated 19/5/2015) keloid like scars seems to form at the inner eyelid. I've consulted 3 doctors so far where 2 of them concluded that I can only smoothen the keloid scarring through laser. It has slightly flattened and less reddish after I went for a steroid injection (Triamcinolone) but the itching is back. Please help!
Dears, about one month ago I have had a surgery to reposition my right eye after silent sinus sindrom has been reported. Since day 1 to nowadays I noticed my lower eyelid was higher than the other, and the situation doesnt evolve after this period. Is it possible to solve the problem? I attached some photos to make you understand better. Thank you
The doctor did the opposite of what I wanted. What are my options? I really can't afford a revision and it was dreadful not wearing makeup for 6 week, but I'm so sad that I can barely function. This was well out of my price range, but I figured it would be worth it because it was a reputable doctor with excellent reviews. But I hate these so much and I should be almost done healing by now (28 yrs old) What did he do wrong? What do I do? (Besides wait, obviously)
Hi I have both upper and lower blepharoplasty done 4 weeks ago. The wounds are healing however I got Suture granuloma on inner corner of my upper eyelids and still there. I went back to my surgeon and he said it could be due to the reaction from radio frequency pen used to make incisions on my Asian skin. Would suture granuloma eventually disappear?
I had my upper blephroplasty 4 weeks ago w minimal bruising. All in all it went well. What concerns me is how there is bunching and skin Pickering on the left eye. This eye also developed some wrinkles and folds between the eyelashes and the crease making it rounder than the other eye. I naturally have almond shaped eyes. Will they even put? Will the Pickering and the pointed area go away? Pls help.
I know sunbeds are not good for you etc, however I go away abroad soon and I really need a tiny colour as very pale. I obviously do not want to affect my scarring what so ever on my eyes but if I went on a sunbed once a week and covered my eyes with eye goggles and on top cotton pads to really protect? Would that affect my scarring in any way?
