I had an otoplasty 4.5 months ago. My doctor said he could further pin back the entire rim of my ear (on the left) with an incisionless technique to make it more symmetrical with my other ear (on the right). Do you believe an incisionless otoplasty will be effective? Addionally, Ive read that an incisionless otoplasty relies on the sutures surviving, and if one of them ruptures years down the line that will compromise the result. Is that accurate? Thank you!
I had double ear otoplasty in March and my left ear's PDS sutures were not strong enough to hold after 7 weeks of headband. I felt pain and my ear was moving away from my head. Also went numb and blocked. I have worn a headband for another 8 weeks. My ear has regained feeling but still feels like it can't hold itself without the headband. The doctor who performed the surgery said to wear a headband for 3-6 months for the sutures to be absorbed, but I don't know if I can trust this will work.
Hello. I had otoplasty September 2017. It has been 4 months of feeling extremely uncomfortable with the results. My ears have healed nicely per my surgeon, however, I feel they were overcorrected and I would like the sutures to be completely removed. What is the possibility of removing the sutures to bring me back to my original ears? My ears have felt so uncomfortable and I honestly feel that my ears were just to big in my cartilage area and the fold the surgeon placed there is too much.
Hello, 4 months ago I had a otoplasty and the surgery wasn't really successful. There is around 8mm difference between my right and left ears. My surgeon told me that he could fix that with Earfold and I was wondering if that's a common practice. I couldn't find any information about Earfold after otoplasty.
I had otoplasty done 4 months ago and was just curious if I should still be sleeping on my back or using something like a sidesleeper that has an ear cut out in it didnt know if it would matter much or not at 4 months out, could use some advice or recommendations, thanks!

I had an otoplasty surgery 4 months ago to create the anti helical fold. At first, I was happy with the results but then the upper part of the ears started sticking out. when I feel the back of my ear, it seems that the surgeon only placed stitches on the middle third of the ear. Is it possible to have a revision after 4 months just to tuck the upper part of the ear? Is this a minor procedure? What is recovery like? Will I have to wear bulky head dressing again?
