I had crown prep done a few days ago but have a constant tooth ache since. I need to take iboprofen which relieves the pain for approx 8 hours but then it returns even waking me up at night The tooth had no pain before provisional Crown placement.
Hello! I had a root canal on tooth # 23 and temp crowns placed on tooth #s 24 and 25 on January 30th. It is now February 9, and I am still having extreme aching on 24 and 25. My dentist can't fit me in until tomorrow afternoon, and the pain is beginning to become unbearable. Tooth # 23 only hurts when I apply pressure to it or bite down. I have been taking Tylenol and Ibuprofen but I can only take so much. Should I be in pain this long from this procedure?
Every morning when I wake up, my crowned tooth is aching. I always have to take 2 ibuprofen's. This only happens after I sleep. I think I maybe putting too much pressure on that tooth when I'm sleeping. I got this crown on Monday. It was a last minute thing my Dentist decided to do that day instead of re-filling my tooth. He drilled out my old filling and got a crown and put it on. And cemented it in place.
I went to the dentist on Tuesday and they prepped my tooth for a crown. A few hours after the numbing went away, I was in pain. I took ibuprofen that night. The next day it only hurt still. I made an appointment to see the dentist again. They figured the crown was too high. I went to the dentist and they lowered the crown, my tooth felt a little better. But, the pulsing pain is remains. Is it just my tooth being traumatized? This is a tooth that has had a root canal.
Ive got crowns on all my teeth, now one week after the permananet crowns i still have pain that wake me up at night. I take ibuprofen about 600 mg/day and diclofenac 75 mg/day but still have the intense pain once or twice a day which can be released 30 min after taking ibuprofen. i have no pain while cheiwing food except little sensibility to hot and cold food.
I cracked my tooth and had a dull, aching type of pain on the inside of my jaw, below the tooth, that extended from my jaw to my ear from the time I had my temporary crown put on. I had my permanent crown put on about a month ago and the pain is still there. I went to an endodontist and he x-rayed and probed the tooth and, because there is no pain or sensitivity in the tooth itself, won't do a root canal. I am taking ibuprofen for the pain but have had it for weeks. Now what?
