My surgeon did a tram flap reconstruction on me. My stitches were removed Thursday and my belly button isnt looking that good anymore. The breast itself keeps getting blisters. My doctor has had me putting bacitracin and yellow petroleum type bandage on the breast to keep it moist and help it heal. Also my middle finger and index along with my thumb have been numb since surgery. Is this something I should be concerned with. I had lymph nodes removed. My arm has been swollen since waking up.
no infection and swab was normal, if I am allergic to the silicone implant if I have it removed will my thin skin be able to heal I don't want to end up with gaping holes, I had mascetomy with reconstruction, this has been 3 months with not much improvement with steroid creams am at a loss what to do.
Just had prophylactic double mistake to me direct to implant reconstruction. Found out the next day I had a huge blister under my skin. Once it popped a large area of dark skin remains. I've been using Silvadene cream and hoping for the best. Dr. is not giving me any answers. Dr. said it could heal or it might not. Any thoughts? My fear is losing The skin as I am very thin and I don't have any place else they can take from.

I had prophylactic bilateral mastectomy with immediate one step reconstruction ( strattice and silicon implants) 19 days ago. My right breast developed a hematoma the day after surgery and I had to go back to the operating theatre to be opened up again and have this fixed. I also developed a seroma on the same recon breast. My question is do I now have necrosis? I saw the surgeon 4 days ago and he said blisters had developed on wound, but now it looks sore of dark brown black. Is it necrosis
I was 2 months post op from a double mastectomy. All was going well and I was scheduled to have my implants but in within the next month. However a complication arose. A large blister formed on my breast. The cause is unknown however my plastic surgeon says it has the characteristics of a burn. I ended up needing a skin graft. I'm curious if anyone has seen this before. My PS said he's never seen it happen and has no idea what could have caused it.
