The dentist that did it didn't leave a gap they are tight as with removable type. Also I assumed the only way to fix was with screws only to find out on the day of placement he was going to glue them, at present he has done a temporary cement. I think glued on would be disastrous particularly with no gap for cleaning as food will inevitably get forced under. Thank you
I have a complete set to 4 on 1 tooth implants upper and lower. Is it normal that there is large gaps between the implants and the gum line, that I can feel my implant post in this gap and that you can see the screw holes even after they are sealed.
I have a new dental implant and crown on tooth 13. Feels like a large gap behind the tooth where the top of the crown is supposed to meet my gum. Dentist says this is for hygiene purposes, but too much food gets trapped which is extremely annoying. Water pik helps but I wasn't planning on spending rest of my life tied to a water pik. Further, I've read the food that gets trapped can decay and, over time, cause gum and bone loss thereby causing the implant to fail. I appreciate any insight.
I have a gap (natural gap) between my upper central incisors. I would like to keep my gap. I wear dentures for my 2 front teeth (the two upper central incisors) and my upper lateral incisors are slightly weak and would like implants for the 4 front teeth upper. My biggest worry has been, if I can still keep my gap between my 2 front teeth? Thanks in Advance!
