Hi, I'm Dr. Michael Zadeh, board certified surgeon and owner of Z Center for Cosmetic Health. Today, we're doing a Botox treatment. Normally, on average, the frown line area would take anywhere from about 20 to 25 units, depending on the severity of the wrinkles. I'm going to give her 20 units and then I follow up with her in two weeks to see her results and, if she needs additional units, then I give it to her at that time. Normally, it takes about five to seven days for the full effects of Botox to kick in.

So, go ahead and frown for me. We've given her some ice beforehand to kind of help with numbing the area and I've swabbed the area with alcohol, to keep it nice and clean. Go ahead and frown. We'll give the first injection right into this muscle right here, which is called the procerus muscle.

It's important you inject these in the right place, about a centimeter above the brow line. If you go a little bit too low or too high, you may have a drooping of the eyebrow. Okay, good. All done.
