Dr. Ramona Behshad: Bepharoplasty, which is what you are referring to, is a procedure in which you can tighten or reduce some of the loose skin that is hanging from the upper eyelid, and there are also procedures that take a little bit more skill involving the lower eyelid. So, the upper eyelid would be, if you skin is, again, significantly loose and hanging on itself, in which case you cannot fix those with lasers or non-surgical procedures, that would be a person who would benefit greatly from a Bepharoplasty, which is also a very well-tolerated procedure with little down time.
And then, lower lid Bepharoplasty can be a little bit more complicated, because there are more structures in the area, the fat pads that I was talking about, for example. And that would be a little bit more of a procedure, but also very well tolerated and usually done as an outpatient procedure.
