I had a great question today that I wanted to quickly go over about what is microdermabrasion. It's one of the non-surgical options that we offer here for treating skin, scars, even stretch marks. There is dermabrasion, which is a deeper, more surgical procedure, removing a lot of top layers of skin. It has some down time. But microdermabrasion, a lot of people aren't familiar with, and it's a gentle, actually feels pretty good, but effective treatment to come in, can usually be done in your lunch hour, has very little downtime, and it's actually manual exfoliation of the skin, reducing pore size, can help with pigmentation, certainly fine lines and wrinkles, and is a very popular procedure here.

There are a couple different types of microdermabrasion. The most popular is the crystal microdermabrasion, which actually blasts crystals on your face which loosens up the dead skin, and you suck it back off. It can be really messy, getting little crystals all over the place, in your ears, it's hard to put makeup back on. So, now we have the diamond tip crystal-less microdermabrasion, which actually has a very find diamond edge, which does the same thing, but doesn't leave you with crystals all over your face. It still does suck back up the dead skin and leaves you with an awesome, radiant, smooth, bright complexion. A lot of people have them before parties, events, but a course of them, having four or six, will actually give you permanent changes.

There are a couple different types of tips, so we can get fine areas, corner of the nose, around the mouth, really concentrate if you're having wrinkles or blackhead problems. We then follow it with a hydrating mask. Obviously a hydrating serum afterwards, send you out with some sunscreen.
