Today it's really interesting for lip augmentation. We've gone through periods of times where we did implants or little sheets that we put in to the lips. The problem with those is that it really didn't leave a pretty contour to the lip. Now we can do a much more natural lip augmentation with the help of fillers. It may be Juvederm or Restylane. I like to do that with what we call micro-needle or micro-cannula. What I'll do is I'll just dumb up a few little spots on the side of the lips or the mouth and then insert this tiny, little thin cannula in there. As I'm withdrawing it, I'll inject the filler. I'll do it in the areas that I really want to highlight. The nice thing about doing it this way is there really is no bruising and there's minimal swelling. It looks wonderful right away.
