Post surgical scar management is important. Usually within the first two weeks the incisions have healed well enough that this can be initiated. People who have a propensity to forming thick, ropey scars such as hypertrophic or keloid scars are the people who absolutely have to start this early on. There are many commercially available preparations. We stock a particular brand which is very effective. It's silicone-based technology and we recommend that one highly. However, there are other forms of scar therapy available at your local drugstore, some of which are fairly effective, although not quite as some of the ones that we recommend.
