For eyelid surgery, the recovery really depends on the techniques that we use. For on average, bruising would be about 10 days for patients. There may be some patients that are really good by day five, and then there's other patients that may take about three weeks to settle down.

Typically with eyelid surgery, I do a three-step approach. It's using patient's own fat to add volume to the area of the brow and to the cheek to restore the volume that's lost, and then combining that with a supporting sutures for the lower eyelids to restore contour, and then adjusting the skin envelope to remove a little extra skin if there is any.
