This young lady had a breast augmentation. These nipples are not particularly prominent, but they always stay erect and that's her problem; that she doesn't like them erect. So she'd like them taken down a little bit. So we're going to use my technique for amputating the tip.
It's important that when you amputate the tip, you don't squeeze the tip and cause scalloping. So I use this modified nerve and tendon forceps that have been modified to a slightly larger size for nipples. We placed it over the nipple and we can move this up and down to put the slot wherever we want. On her, just sitting it flush seems to be about the right spot.
When we push the 10 blade through, it's very easy for the holder on the blade to impact the slot and not allow you to go through all the way. And that gives us a nice amputation without any scalloping and then we just put the epinephrine [inaudible 00:01:32] on the top.
