For the past 5 years, I have been wanting to remove the sagginess under my chin. I thought exercising regularly and a healthy diet would tighten the area but it progressively got worst. So, I decided to take action and scheduled a consultation with Thomas Romo, recommended highly by a friend of mine. During the consultation, I explained my concern and he explained and showed how he can improve the chin area not only with liposuction but with a chin implant. He also pointed out another area needing improvement...my nose. It wasn't a bad looking nose but I wasn't really happy with it. I was VERY impressed in how detailed and passionate he was about his work - my surgery was scheduled the following month.
I wasn't nervous about surgery. I knew I was in good hands with the Dr. Romo. The team of the day of the surgery were amazing and sympathetic. Surgery took about less than three hours. I was in no pain just extremely thirsty, my throat felt like it was on fire. I remember I kept drinking water with ice at the hospital but it didn't quenched my thirst. What quenched my thirst was a spoon of sorbet when I got home - it was an instant relief. Also, I remember I couldn't urinate at hospital, but I was fine when I got home and was relaxed.
During the five days after surgery I had no bruising and swelling was minimal, barely noticeable. The downfalls: it's was very uncomfortable breathing only through my mouth; I had trouble getting a good night sleep lying in a upright position with my head slightly elevated to keep the swelling down.
I went back to work a week after surgery. No one noticed I had anything done on my face. It has been almost two months since I had the surgery and I noticed my nose and chin is taking shape every week. The change is subtle and I am pleased how it is resulting.
