Ok, so last week I was a bit concerned that my right boob had changed shape & they no longer looked the same. But after discussing this with my surgeon, he reassured me that it's still very early & that they can heal at different rates & that my right one was just still a bit more swollen than the left one. They will settle down. So I feel much better now

4wks Post Op, change in shape & position on Right Side

Ok, so I'm now 4wks post op, my left boob is now very soft to the touch, I still have some numb areas, but these are getting smaller & the shooting pains are getting less.
My right boob has always been more painful & swollen. In the last week, whilst my left side has softened up, the right side is still quite high & firm & is also swollen from my mid breast incision, around my side to under my armpit. It's also still quite painful if I move suddenly & I still get regular twinges. The only numbness on this side is around the swollen parts.
Apparently, this asymetry is quite common & things should even out as they settle down.
I've not started the embrace scar therapy, as I still have a couple of stitches that have yet to dissolve & they don't advise using it until all stitches are gone & the wound is closed.
I'm definitely getting more used to my new shape & I'm pleased with the look & feel of my left boob & if the right one settles down the same I'll be very happy!
I'm still working on my tummy, I've set myself a target of 10lbs down for Christmas!
I guess I'll just have to wait & see what happens next. I'm looking forward to buying new bras, as I'm still wearing the Macom ones, I'm measuring 39" around the bust & 34" under bust, so a 34DD.
I started a new job this week & it was good not to be worrying about my blouse gaping or feeling self conscious, I'm not 'The new girl with big boobs' anymore!

hi cloverjenn, Your the closest to my physique I’ve seen and your size and shape are what I would like. I,m afraid I’ll end up to big...did you take pictures with you to doc? Or bring dream size bra?
Thank you! Happy healing!

My surgery is 9/18/18 :-)
Don’t know why that posted 2x :/
Hi! I didn't have any pictures, i didn't think about it! But i wish i had, it would have made describing how I wanted them to look alot easier! I just told my surgeon the size I wanted them to be, a D/DD. Fortunately he's a genius & got it perfect!
By all means show your surgeon my pictures if you think it will help you & good luck with your surgery & see you on the other side x

photos for update!

Don't know why these didn't post with my previous update! I'll try uploading them again.

I had my dressings changed yesterday & had another good look at them. I have dissolving stitches, so the few I can see/feel will hopefully disappear soon. I'm still wearing my Macom Signature bras, though now I can finally have a proper shower & a soak in the bath!
I want to start using Embrace Scar Therapy strips, so I've sent them these pictures to check I'm ok to go ahead.
I'm definitely getting more used to them, they still ache in the evenings if I've been on my feet all day & the shooting pains are still happening.
I've not bought any new bras yet, I've got 3 of the Macom ones in nude & black & they are so comfortable I'm going to stick with them for now.
I see my surgeon again in 4 weeks, as soon as i start embrace, I'll post some updates. But so far so good!
