Dr. Yegiyants is a genuine, warm, compassionate and incredibly gifted surgeon. Her background in art is evident in her work. Her eye for detail and beauty is obvious in her work gallery viewable online. Her staff (Kristina) is considerate, organized, loyal and genuine. The office has just been remodeled and reflects the stylish aesthetic Santa Barbara is known for. Prior to my consultation with Dr. Yegiyants, I had a visit with another surgeon in my own home town (SB is 1.5 hrs. from me). He was positive that I could have my double mastectomy and implants all done in one visit. Not being thrilled about surgery in general, this one-stop option was very appealing. I'm SO thankful that I got a second opinion from Dr. Sara! During my initial visit, she lovingly explained the benefits for using the expander method. Realizing that this would add a much longer healing time to my procedure, I took a leap of faith and trusted her. After the removal of my breast tissue, she placed an initial amount, equivalent to the implant I expected to be my permanent size, into the expanders. After healing for approx 1 month, it was completely clear that the smaller size would have been WAY out of proportion for my body type. It really was quite odd and funny to see. I literally looked like I had man-pecs! By the end of the expansion period, I wound up a 34C. While this sounds crazy big to me (I began as a saggy, 34A) the implants are just so different from regular breast tissue. Not in a bad way, just different. Dr. Sarah knew this and I did not. Her integrity to relay this truth in a way that resonated with me is something I'm forever grateful for. I'm so glad I trusted Dr. Yegiyants to help me make this important decision. Loving your shape after a shocking decision to remove a part of your body is a really, really BIG deal. When I look at the before and afters, my nipple placement is not far off from where I began. I look very natural and not large at all. I'm very tall- 5'10.5" The implants Dr. Sarah used are the tallest ones available. Her work is absolutely impressive and artful. Whether it be minor or major, I highly recommend Dr. Sara for any cosmetic surgery procedure you may require. You will not be disappointed.
