WORTH IT
Dr. Tolan is uniquely talented. He managed to reduce my hump and still keep my ethnic features intact. No one noticed I had anything done, and I am so much happier with my nose. Plus, I can breathe better! I battled with the decision of aesthetically changing my nose for a long time (6 years) and I'm so happy I chose him. He and his team are amazing.

How was your bruising? I found days 2-4 the worst as far as bruising. I'm on day 14 post op and have just a slight bruise. I was very swollen for approx 9 days. I felt no pain whatsoever but as a lot of bruising and swelling. At Day 14 I'm
still congested on my left side/nostril. I was told that it's because the doctor worked from the left side. Can't wait to breathe well from both nostrils.

I had NO bruising! I was preparing for it, but I am dark, so I don't generally bruise. I was extremely bummed by the swelling though. I had lots of that. I didn't recognize myself in the mirror, and I'll be honest, I had mini panic attacks.
I was congested for almost a month, but that's because I had a lot done functionally. Hang in there. It's completely worth being able to breathe. :)

Can you tell me the approx. cost of your procedure? I'm looking into this doctor and the prices vary so much everywhere. I'm not basing it off price, but I would like a idea. Also please if possible do you have any more pics? I would like to see a side profile view. Thanks so much!!!
Welcome! I'm thrilled to hear that your surgery was such a success. How was your recovery? What’s the #1 piece of advice you would give to someone considering this procedure?
Overall, the recovery was fast. I was back to work in 10 days! However, the first 2-3 days following the surgery were awful due to blood (you swallow chunks of it - ick) and just being uncomfortable. My pain was well managed, but I couldn't do anything except sleep and binge watch shows, so that made for very long days.
My #1 piece of advice to someone considering this procedure would be to spend a lot of time researching surgeons and making sure they have your vision in mind. Get several consultations. When you meet the "right" one, you'll know! After all, this is your face and a very permanent decision. I also spent some time on YouTube watching other people's recoveries because many had good tips (use a travel pillow to sleep, stock up on soft tissues, go grocery shopping for things that are easy to eat- applesauce etc.)
This is running a bit long, so to wrap up, one thing I wish everyone had mentioned was the nose-dripping for like 2 weeks afterwards. Carry tissues everywhere, because your nose will still be pretty numb and you probably won't realize you're dripping. :-)
Thanks for your reply. ☺ Glad your recovery was smooth overall, the blood part isn't fun...I hear ya! What shows did you watch?
I haven't heard of either, I'll have to check them out.
