47 Years Old.. 143lbs.. I Want a Waist! Woodbury, MN

UPDATED FROM Iamsooooready
3 months post

Finally an update..

WORTH IT$7,400
I've slacked with updating. These pictures are from my 3 month check up. I actually feel the pictures actually make me look bigger than I really am. Just picked up a couple of size 7 pants the other day.. I am very happy with my results. I do have a hard-ish lump still on my left waist area, but Dr. Hoffman is confident that it will dissolve. There is no doubt I should have had a tummy tuck.. I do have lose skin (from 2 pregnancy's), but that just wasn't an option.. Time & Money. I haven't been as disciplined as I should be with food/drink.. As I usually do - I will get that back in check after food and drink season is over.

The actually procedure was much different than I anticipated. I didn't prepare for the "creepiness" of it. I couldn't look at myself in a mirro for over a week. I could see my body, but couldn't feel it.. Uck, uck, uck... Of course that gradually passed and I'm thrilled to see myself now. Yay me!!! And I know I'm only going to look better and better.

Dr. Hoffman and his staff were outstanding. They went above and beyond to make sure I was informed and comfortable with the entire process. They took all the time I needed and never wrapped up an appointment.. I was always the one to wrap it up. Fabulous experience!

Your figure looks great, so youthful and natural, really like you were born with it. I can't see any loose skin or crepey-ness, you look wonderful, and I'm sure it's only going to look even better at 6mos when everything has settled.
You look great and it makes you look like you have a rounder butt.

It went great!!

I am very sore and I am much better if I am standing - that's for sure. When I had my pre-op appt. with Dr. Hoffman he told me he would most likely remove about 2800-3000 ml of fluid/fat. He actually removed 4800 ml.. I know that isn't all fat, but it has to be more fat that what would have been in 3000ml. I just can't wait to get a better look today.

Happy for you I'm going in on Monday how are you with taking care of yourself
Last night wasn't bad at all. Having a tough time today with movement. It is so much better to be up and walking than sitting or laying.. Went to the doctors today to take off foam under my garment and check things over. I hate to say it but it looks awful.. It looks scrunchie and bruised. I know I'm one day out and I will be patient. I just wish sitting and resting woukd go a little easier. Wishing you a great surgery and lots of patients!
Glad everything went well, are you wearing a garment now, and does your doc recommend massages?
I would like to know also :)
Yes, I have the body garment. He does not necessarily recommend massages.

Good to hear! How are you feeling today?

Hi there. Actually very sore and awkward still. I cannot look at myself because it creeps me out so much. I Keep my eye on the prize but in the meantime it is been a struggle. I Did not know I would have this type of reaction at all. I was prepared for pain and stiffness, but I was not prepared for the creepiness of it all. The numbness really is strange to me and it just doesn't feel like I have a torso. But otherwise it's GREAT! Hahaa!

Oh really! That's interesting, I don't think I've heard of anyone else feeling that way, but I can understand why. Well, like you say, keep your eye on the prize, it will be worth it!

I totally agree that it feels creepy. Does your breathing feel constricted? I'd give anything for a few deep breaths right now.
How are you feeling? Totally agree with you on the not comfortable sitting/resting. Walking and standing feel good! Is your numbness subsiding?
