I've never liked my breasts since giving birth to...

I've never liked my breasts since giving birth to my only child ( now adult child)...many, many years ago! Half joking about a year ago I mentioned to my husband about getting a "boob job". He told me to go look into it if I wanted one. I did, and was on the fence when I found out I needed a hysterectomy. I thought why not recover from the breast during the Hysterectomy! Went to see my PS to see if he was willing to combine procedures and he thought I meant a tummy tuck too, not knowing I meant was he willing to work with my OB. I said well....now that you mention it, maybe. He asked to see my tummy and I guess he was persuasive, because here I am with all of it scheduled!! I have lost and regained weight over the years. Lost 30 lbs about 2 years ago. I'm currently 5'2" and 150 lbs. I took some before pics that I hope to look back and say I will never be there again!
Has anyone done this combination before? Very nervous! I've been addicted to this site trying to get an idea of what I'm in for. It certainly has opened my eyes to all the things I will need prior and hadn't thought about. Any helpful advice or experiences much appreciated.

I had a hysterectomy, two lifts with saline and then silicone implants and most recently a tummy tuck...so nothing all together but it may have made it easier. I'm happy with my results, are you?

Hi Mrs. Williams, thanks for your reply. I haven't had my surgery yet, scheduled for 5/5/14. I don't know how the Hysterectomy will affect my recovery from the other surgeries, but having them at the same time has me a little worried. My PS said he thinks the Hysterectomy will be more painful than the tt, so I wouldn't really notice the tt that much. I'm not so sure since I'm reading about a lot of pain on here!

I just went to your profile page and I have to say, you have some really nice results there! Looking great!!

I'm scheduled for a full tt on 5/6. I'm Terrified!! Glad I found you we can get thru this together!!

I had a tummy tuck along with a vaginal hysterectomy, last June, at age 52. Both my Gyn and ps said that the hysterectomy was a much bigger recovery than tt. I agree. I felt I needed the entire 6 weeks to recover. And I took pain meds for 2 to 3 weeks. No regrets at all. Just give yourself lots of time to heal. It did take me 5 months to be able to do a full sit up!

Thanks Sharic23, I appreciate the feedback! I'm anticipating being in quite a bit of pain, but feel better that the hysterectomy is going to be the main reason and I'm not adding much to it by doing the tt. I am planning on being off work for 6 weeks, I hope that's enough. I do sit all day at work, but my days are long (usually about 10 hrs) and I'm not able to get up often. I have been working out with a trainer 2x week for a couple years now, and feel I'm in fairly good shape strenth wise. I'm thinking I won't notice the breast lift much since most of my pain will be in the abdomen. I'm also allergic to codeine, so pain management is my main concern.

You'll do fine. Because I had hysterectomy I was able to stay 2 nights in hospital. I had a PCA pump for 24 hours and my ps inserted a pain pump that numbed the surgical incision for 3 days. Wish I had thought about the breast lift too! Good luck with everything!

Thank you, a week into it the hysterectomy was worse but I think it's a great idea to do them all together. Good luck with your surgery, I will follow and encourage you along the way! I went back to work a week after both my tt and hysterectomy...not a good idea but no choice. You will be fine with six weeks. Good luck.

Thank you for the encouragement. I'm glad to see it seems you are doing well! Your scar looks great! I saw my PS today and we had a nice long chat. I'm feeling a lot better and less anxious. I wish the day would just get here already so I don't have to obsess over it anymore! I'm lucky that I will be able to take the time off work. Luckily my supervisor had the combo hysterectomy/tt herself and knows what the recovery will be like. Happy healing :)

One week until Surgery!

2B50andFABulous
Well, it's one week prior to sx, and I went to the PS office to pay my bill! I guess it's really happening! I think I have a lot to do this week. I haven't gone and gotten many supplies I may need yet. I'm thinking of ordering some CG's online but I look and look and I'm not sure what is the best kind so I've put that off. I'm quite busy at work this week as well, trying to get as much as possible done before I'm off for 6 weeks. Seems a bit overwhelming right now, but I guess I'd rather be busy than thinking about it all the time! This time next week I'll be in surgery and on my way to recovery!
