WORTH IT
Just over 3 months since closed Rhinoplasty with Mr Uppal at Windsor.
I wanted to get by nose reduced and straightened for years as I have always been very conscious of it. I saw two surgeons before Mr Uppal but I did not feel confident enough in them.
Mr Uppal however was a breath of fresh air as could straight away see what I wanted to achieve and I felt reassured we were on the same page when he showed me how my nose could look with visual imaging.
Every aspect of my experience from my initial consultation to post surgery questions have been dealt with very professionally and Mr Uppals team were all amazing.
My nose looks completely natural and I feel I can now stop thinking about it and just get on with enjoying life. Thank you so much Mr Uppal!!

Hello azerty12345,

Let's get back on topic, as reviews are a place of support.

A very vague review, no real detail. It seems very disingenuous to me too.

Indeed so happy and sure of the result at 3 months post. This is just one of many of Uppals one post wonders

So if someone feels that a review isn't genuine they aren't allowed to express their view, is that what you are saying?

That is not at all what I am saying, please see my message below and if  you have questions send me a private message.

As you can see, I have removed several comments as it's not appropriate to publicly accuse someone of posting a fake review. We do however appreciate the community expressing their concerns if they feel a review is not authentic. All reviews submitted to RealSelf undergo a multi-stage moderation process, and we take fake reviews very seriously. If you feel that a review is not legitimate please email Community Support or send me a private message with the specific details of the review(s) in questions so that we can investigate it, further ensuring their quality and authenticity. Any further comments of this nature will be removed.

NosejobJ. It was not my intention to upset or offend you and If that has been the case I appologise. It would be usefull to know cost of surgery and any additional hostpital fees, photo's I understand can feel dunting when you do not wish to be recognised. It would be helpful though to see pre and post Nose only pics if possible. I myself had rhinoplasy many years ago (closed in 1994) and was very happy with my then (now retired) surgeon. As I am now 22 years on, I now have some cartlidge dissolve and saw a surgeon for revision with graft this year. I will be doing the revision eventually so find posts with detailed information very helpful.

Hi, I paid £7,500 total for surgery at the Princess Margaret hospital in Windsor but I believe it would have cost slightly more at one of the London hospitals Mr Uppal works from.
I'm afraid I really don't want to post any photos as most people don't know I have had it done.
Mr Uppal has lots of before and after pictures he can show you.
Although he stressed it was a guide only I found the visual imagery he did in my initial consultation really reassuring as was petrified of ending up with a feminine button or ski slope nose!
I'm a bit concerned about cartilage dissolve. What causes this?
August 15, 2016
Thank you for your reply. I think the cartilage dissolve is just is what has happened over time, though when I had my consultation with Mr Ion this year regarding revision he explained that it is called an open roof deformity and can happen when the hump is removed as was in may case. I did however only notice it as I aged and my face got thinner. Mr Ion said that this could have just made it appear more noticable and It may have been there early on but just not noticable by myself. I do think technology has improved greatly since my primary.

Ah ok thanks for clearing that up but sorry to hear you're having to have more surgery.
Yes, I think things have come a long way thank goodness.
Mr Uppal seemed to me to be up to speed with the latest techniques and it helped me knowing he has performed thousands of nose jobs and he was very honest about what could and could not be achieved.
Lets face it he has a reputation to maintain so I don't think he would take on a 'job' if he couldn't deliver.
He was very confident he could achieve what I wanted which helped convince me and any questions I have had along the way have been answered by himself or his secretary's promptly.
I definitely think you have to be mentally well prepared to go through something like this and as I mentioned before it took me years to build up the courage and I also read hundreds of reviews.
I must say though that I am a complete baby when it comes to anything blood or hospital related so if I can do it I think anyone can.
There was no pain whatsoever but having that feeling of a completely blocked nose is tiresome but It gets better pretty quickly.
I am a firm believer in trusting your instincts and would definitely not have gone ahead with surgery if I hadn't felt sure after meeting Mr Uppal no matter how glowing his reviews were.
August 15, 2016
you mean £8,500?
August 15, 2016
I'm pleased everything has worked out for you. Yes I think undertaking any surgery is daunting and a lots of research and feeling confident in your decision is very important.
August 15, 2016
I think I will be havig my revision with Mr Ion as I felt he was the best surgeon for my particular case being a revision and I have been very impressed with his results with complex cases. All the best for the future.
August 15, 2016
No it was £7,500 but I paid back in March so perhaps his prices have gone up
August 15, 2016
Thank you and best of luck. I hope all goes well :)
August 15, 2016
Also I guess the price is tailored on an individual basis depending on exactly what is required?

No Fake

Quite shocked to see a few people don't believe my review is genuine. This was a summary of my experience and I felt it was important to say I had a positive outcome. The reason I waited years before going ahead was the amount of negative material regarding Rhinoplasty on the web.
No, I haven't gone in to every detail because having surgery is never going to be much fun but it is all over in a couple of weeks which in my opinion is a small sacrifice for having a normal looking proportioned nose for the rest of my life.
If you've got any genuine questions about the procedure feel free to message me.
