35-year-old tired of looking tired. Inherited my mothers big beautiful eyes along with the bags! I've always had them as long as I can remember. They've become more prominent with age and sleepless nights with babies! Had Lower lid transcongunctival blepharoplasty with CO2 laser under eyes performed 4/21/16. Originally went to consult thinking filler for hollow tear trough would be in order but Dr Sabini said this would just add volume to an already puffy area.

I'm curious as to why they didn't recommend filler. I'm on day 12 of juvederm in the tear trough and although I am not 100% happy with my current state (still lots of bruising and some areas that aren't smooth) I think the end result will be really nice. My bags were WAY worse than yours so that's why I'm curious and wondering if I chose the right procedure.

Day 3

Cfarrow1980
Really sore today. The burning sensation seems to be worse then the previous 2 days. Most likely because I started washing the eyes with gentle cleanser as instructed which is starting to debride the area exposing underlying raw skin. Still using ice packs about 6-8 times/day for 20 minutes. I notice the swelling is greatly improved after applying compress but it only lasts for an hour then swells back up.

Day 5

Cfarrow1980
Blistering under eyes has improved but skin is still pretty raw. Continuing to wash and apply aquaphor several times a day. My right eye is red and swollen, this appeared 2 days ago. I'm using erythromycin ointment 3x daily. I don't think it's infected.

I've had Co2 laser under eyes and yours looks like it's coming along great!! You are going to have beautiful results from your lower Blepharoplasty and laser!! I want upper and lower but I'm so scared!! I've had a few procedures that went wrong and when it's your eyes, that makes it scary. Did your doc reposition the fat pads or did he pull the muscle up or both?? Your recovery is looking great and I'm guessing final results will be fabulous!! Congrats!!

I do hope its not so sore now and healing is coming along nicely! Have you cut out salt to help reduce swelling and inflammation?

No repositioning of fat, just removal. Nothing with muscle as far as I know!
