So procedure going to happen this Thursday. Feeling very positive about the outcome but worried about the pain of the procedure! I’ve read reviews saying they didn’t feel it and then others saying they felt like they were being stabbed. It’s my only concern right now! But I’m not getting the procedure done in any of the same places mentioned so there’s no way of knowing. I’ll post pictures once I have before and after snaps...

So I’ll had my procedure done on Thursday and I have an update. Firstly your are advised not to smoke 2 weeks before your procedure (I was advised of this days before my procedure) and this had an effect on the way your body metabolizes the numbing fluid. Do not smoke or tell your surgeon if you have smoked. They need to change the concentration of Lidocaine in your numbing.
As you might have guessed the procedure was extremely painful. The numbing had little effect and I felt most of everything. I’m a very strong person and not very dramatic, and I found myself screaming out in pain and begging the surgeon to stop. I say this to be honest, fully knowing others will not have the same experience. I read an review on here before my procedure about someone else feeling the same pain and I must say it frightened me. I mentioned several times to the Clinic staff about my concerns over pain and I felt they were very cagey about the pain felt during the procedure.
The day of, I took one Diazepam and two solpadeine (I could not take the pain killer they prescribed me as I am allergic). I asked if this was sufficient and they said it was.
I’m now 2.5 days post surgery and the recovery pain is very little. Day one after the procedure was uncomfortable, a constant ache is the way I would describe it. Day two I would say discomfort on moving, but you can find a position and feel no pain. Now I feel it when I stand up. I feel a little light headed when moving around too much (I went grocery shopping today).

I definately see a big difference in shape. I still think im swollen and find that some clothes that used to fit around my waist are tight now. My biggest advice is to make sure you get the right compression garment. I was given a VOE waist band that was excellent in the beginning but it developed folds over time and crated dents in my stomach. This also was so uncomfotable to wear. It dug into my sides and felt so sore when wearing it 24/7. I bought a VOE garment more like spanx suitable for abdominoplasty and liposuction and am much more comfortable. I also looks significantly better under clothes.
