4.5 Weeks post op
2 days post Tickle Lipo
As you might have guessed the procedure was extremely painful. The numbing had little effect and I felt most of everything. I’m a very strong person and not very dramatic, and I found myself screaming out in pain and begging the surgeon to stop. I say this to be honest, fully knowing others will not have the same experience. I read an review on here before my procedure about someone else feeling the same pain and I must say it frightened me. I mentioned several times to the Clinic staff about my concerns over pain and I felt they were very cagey about the pain felt during the procedure.
The day of, I took one Diazepam and two solpadeine (I could not take the pain killer they prescribed me as I am allergic). I asked if this was sufficient and they said it was.
I’m now 2.5 days post surgery and the recovery pain is very little. Day one after the procedure was uncomfortable, a constant ache is the way I would describe it. Day two I would say discomfort on moving, but you can find a position and feel no pain. Now I feel it when I stand up. I feel a little light headed when moving around too much (I went grocery shopping today).
So procedure going to happen this Thursday....
Provider Review
Dr Kalout was very professional, and gave great advice. I’m getting 360 Lipo done in two procedures, front & love handles then the back. He understood my areas of concern. I also visited another Tickle Lipo provider in Ireland (there are only two) and hands down trusted Avoca way more. *Update* Post op I found the quality of care intensely lacking. I called with concerns post op regarding infection, they did not call back. It turns out I did have an infection that 2 days of treatment were missed down to poor admin. The prices originally quoted went up just before the procedure, I had to argue with them to get them to the price we agreed. They also asked for proof, on presentation of which they backed off. I was prescribed medication I specifically said I was allergic to on all medical forms. I asked for an alternative to which none was provided. They gave me contracts to sign a week before the procedure, did not take me through them. Some required me to say I had not smoked two weeks before the procedure. I only realised what this contract was for on the day of the procedure. My procedure was cancelled THE DAY before it was due at 5pm and resceduled for the next week. I believe they booked me in on the wrong day and covered up their mistake. All in all, skilled surgeon, poor organisation. You’re paying for the doctor, dont expect service worthy of the thousands you're spending. There is no other clinic on par in Ireland, just be careful of the admin side if you choose them. I have not had a good experience.
