Hello to all my fabulous RS ladies. I had breast augmentation almost 11 years ago exactly while living in New England. I have three children and nursed my last until 11 months. Needless to say it left me deflated and a bit uneven and droopy. Since I had nursed out of one side more than the other, it left me disproportionate. My plastic surgeon in NE suggested just lifting one side and filling them at different weights to find an even balance. My surgery went well and I went with either 325 and 350 or 350 and 375 (sorry I can't remember after so long) Mentor saline implants. I always had a full C small D growing up and after nursing my children I was a 34 B. My recovery was quick and I liked my results. After time (not sure when, but I guess in the last few years) my skin loosened up a bit and my breast began to shift further apart. I didn't notice a huge gap because they had dropped and were not perky any longer. Just in the past year have I developed some mild pain and discomfort. I decided it was time to take these heavy bags out and replace them. Since moving to the Miami area (not by choice, but because of work) I have researched and met with a few doctors.
Yesterday, I met with Dr. Messa in Weston and I knew the minute I met him that he was the doctor for me. He actively listened to my concerns and desires and made me feel at ease. He took my measurements and hallelujah..I don't need another lift. He is going to go into the old areola incisions and replace my implants for silicone. I know, I know, silicone isn't as safe...well once you feel a silicone booby compared to saline you will know why we are going with it. He is going to go back under the muscle and place them in the same pocket, except this time he is going to secure the pocket and tighten everything up. My pockets have stretched out and that is what is causing the pain. Kind of like the internal bra that you always hear about. I also want to go a bit larger, but haven't made a firm decision on size. He said that once he removed the implant, they measure how many cc's I already have and build on that number. We are shooting for 550-650 cc's this time around. I just wanted to post on here because I have spent over a year now interviewing doctors and combing through websites. I have all my pre-op stuff next Tuesday and that is when we will take the first pictures and I will post my before results. My surgery is less than a month away because they had a patient reschedule and I jumped on that appointment. Wish me luck! xoxo

Oh that's great you were able to benefit from someone else's surgery getting rescheduled. Glad you're sharing your story as revision surgeries are unique in their own way and extremely helpful to other members. It sounds like you have a great plan on tightening up the existing pocket. Feel free to join the February 2016 breast implant revision surgery forum to perhaps meet some other women like yourself!
